The Uttarakhand Technical University, Dehradun was established on 27th January 2005 by Govt. of Uttarakhand through the Uttarakhand Technical University Act 2005.

The Uttarakhand Technical University campus is situated at NH-72 Suddhowala, Dehradun. Dehradun is the State capital of Uttarakhand well connected through Rail, Road and Air transport.

The University has been established in an area of 8.372 hectare and it is the only affiliating University of the state for technical institutions.

There are 8 Constituent and 132 affiliated colleges with 33,000 students in various courses mentioned below:

Schedule of Spot Counseling :
University is conducting Spot Counseling for various Courses on the basis of merit JEE Main- 2016/UKSEE/UKSEE-Advanced/ qualifying exam (10+2)/ Graduation basis as per the following schedule in various Constituent and affiliated institutes.

Instructions :
** The candidate needs to register himself/herself on the website uktechcounseling.in from 20th to 22nd August 2016.
** The final list will be published on University website, and accordingly the candidates will be called for reporting along with qualifying documents and counseling fee.
** A non-refundable counseling fee of Rs 2,000/- will be submitted at the time of reporting in favor of Finance Controller-UTU payable at Dehradun, demand draft only.
** After deposition of fee, documents will be verified at the time of counseling only.
