Online application for admission to B.F.Sc and B E ( Fisheries Engineering) starts on 10.05 2017

It is proposed to release online application along with prospectus for admission for the academic year 2017-’18, to BFSc course offered at Fisheries College and Research Institute, Thoothukudi and Fisheries College and Research Institute, Ponneri and B. E ( Fisheries Engineering) course offered at College of Fisheries Engineering,Nagapattinam. on 10th May 2017.

APPLICATION FEE : (Application fee to be paid only through online)
1. OC/BC/BCM/MBC/DNC : Rs. 600/- (each course)
2. SC/SCA/ST : Rs. 300/- (each course)

INSTRUCTIONS TO CANDIDATES TO FILL IN THE ONLINE APPLICATION FORM :
** Candidates should read the Prospectus carefully before filling up and submitting the applications online.

** Candidates need to submit filled-in applications only through online on or before 20.06.2016 (5.00 pm). Downloaded filled-in application should not be sent by post, except for sports category.

** Candidates applying under sports category should send a copy of the filled application along with the attested copies of all the sports certificates for the last 4 years along with filled in Appendix II-A form, (given in the prospectus) by post to the
Chairman,

so as to reach on or before 20.06.2016 (5.00 pm).

** All fields in the application should be correctly and completely filled in.

** Candidates should ensure that correct particulars of date of birth, community, marks and nativity are furnished in the application. On scrutiny, if any of these particulars furnished in the application are found incorrect:
i. The candidate will forfeit the admission to the course itself, no matter, at what stage of the course the candidate may be at that time.
ii. Candidate will be debarred from pursuing any course of study of this University and other Universities of Tamil Nadu for a period of three years.
iii. Legal action will be initiated against the candidate for furnishing wrong information.

Admission is subject to verification of mark certificates by the Director of Government Examinations and if the mark certificate is found to be bogus, admission is liable for cancellation besides criminal action being taken.

How to apply :
** Step -1 Click on “Admission” Link given in the website tnfu.ac.in and download the Prospectus and read carefully
** Step –2 Click on “Online Application” Link and read the instructions carefully.
** Step -3 Click on “Apply Now” button and fill in the application
** Step -4 Click on “Save” button if you need to make any changes. You will receive your Login ID through SMS/e-mail.
** Step -5 Click on “Submit” button if all the particulars are furnished correctly. On clicking “Submit” button, payment option appears.
** Step -6 Make payment Online. You will receive SMS/e-mail confirming successful submission of application along with your Login ID and Application Number.
** Using your Login ID you can download and take the printout of your application any time.
** You should use the Application Number / Login ID for any official correspondence to the University.
** Candidates not receiving SMS/e-mail even after successful submission may contact the Admission Committee through e-mail / phone (ugadmission[AT]tnfu.org.in / 04365-240558 during 10 am to 6.00 pm on all working days).
** No addition, deletion or alteration of any particulars relating to the application is permitted after the submission of the application through online.

** The candidates who had successfully downloaded and printed the online application have to affix a recently taken passport size photograph in the space provided and get it signed by a Group A or Group B officer or the Head of the Institute last studied. The candidate and his/her parent/guardian must sign the declaration in the space provided in the application.

** The candidate must bring this downloaded, photo affixed and duly signed application and the following certificates* in original along with two sets of attested copies only at the time of counselling.
*1) HSC/CBSE/other equivalent mark sheet,
2) Transfer Certificate
3) Community Certificate** (For OC candidates, community certificate is not required)
4) Certificates for Special categories
5) Nativity Certificate if required
6) First Graduate Certificate if required (Certificate No. V) and Joint declaration form (Certificate No. VI) (provided in the prospectus)

**Community Certificate is subject to verification by the district Vigilance committee of the district concerned and if the community of the candidate is found to be untrue, admission is liable for cancellation besides criminal action being taken.

** In case of revaluation / re-totaling in respect of qualifying examination, the scanned copy of revaluation / re-totaling mark certificate should be sent through e-mail (ugadmission[AT]tnfu.org.in) within 5 days from the date of declaration of revaluation / re-totaling marks.

** For all correspondence, mention the Login ID / Application Number, and Name of the applicant.
