PPMET-2015 : PUNJAB PARA MEDIC AL ENTRANCE TEST
All necessary information regarding the taking of PPMET-2015, allocation of merit and seeking admission to B.Sc. Nursing course in the various Nursing colleges of Punjab affiliated to Baba Farid University of Health Sciences, Faridkot and all applicable rules and regulations, etc., are contained in this PROSPECTUS, PPMET – 2015.

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA :
He/She has passed qualifying examination as under:-
(a) The higher secondary examination or the Indian School Certificate Examination which is equivalent to 10+2 Higher Secondary Examination after a period of 12 years study, the last two years of study comprising of Physics, Chemistry and Biology after the introduction of the 10+2+3 years education structure as recommended by the National Committee on Education;
OR
(b) The intermediate examination in Science of an Indian University/Board or other recognized examining body with Physics, Chemistry and Biology which shall include a practical test in these subjects and also English as a compulsory subject;
OR
(c) The Pre-professional/pre-medical examination with Physics, Chemistry and Biology, after passing either the higher secondary school examination or the pre-university or an equivalent examination. The pre-professional/premedical examination shall include a practical test in Physics, Chemistry and Biology and English as compulsory subject;
OR
(d) The first year of the three year degree course of a recognized university with Physics, Chemistry and Biology including a practical test in these subjects provided the examination is a “University Examination” and candidate has passed 10+2 with English at a level not less than a core course;
OR
(e) B.Sc examination of an Indian University, provided that he/she has passed the B.Sc. examination with not less than two of the following subjects-Physics, Chemistry and Biology (Botany, Zoology) and further that he/she has passed the earlier qualifying examination with the following subjects- Physics, Chemistry and Biology and English;
OR
(f) Any other examination which, in scope and standard is found to be equivalent to the intermediate Science examination of an Indian University/Board, taking Physics, Chemistry and Biology including a practical test in each of these subjects and English;

Age: Candidate must have completed the age of 17 years, on or before 31st Dec. of the corresponding year.

This Prospectus contains two parts:
Part-I: Pertains to the instructions/procedure how to fill online application forms for PPMET- 2015, Mode of PPMET-2015 and allotment of ranks. It also contains instructions/procedure how to fill online counselling form and method of allocation of seats.

Part-II: Pertains to admission to B.Sc. Nursing course on the basis of PPMET – 2015. This part contains the Punjab Government Notification No. 5/48/2007-3HB3/1982 dated 31/03/2008. Syllabus for PPMET, Specimen of Various Performa.

Candidates are advised to read both Part-I and Part-II of the prospectus carefully before filling and submitting the ONLINE APPLICATION FORM and ONLINE COUNCELLING FORM of PPMET -2015.

An error in filling of ONLINE APPLICATION FORM may result in rejection of such an Application Form. Corrections in the information given by the candidate in the ONLINE APPLICATION FORM may not be permitted after conduct of PPMET.

FEE REQUIRED WITH ONLINE APPLICATION FORM:
a) Rs. 4500/- for General Category (RS. 2250/- for SC categories only) be deposited in any branch of the Oriental Bank of Commerce throughout India by using Bank challan form which is generated after applying online through University web site i.e. bfuhs.ac.in by due date and time.
b) Fee once deposited in University account will not be refunded / adjusted.

Important Dates :
1.   Availability of Prospectus at University website. Hardcopy of Prospectus can be had from   University after paying Rs. 200/- in cash.   20th April, 2015 onwards
2.   Last date for online submission of application form through  University website   Application fee: Rs. 4500/-(for SC 2250/-)   23rd May, 2015
3.   Last date for deposition of application fee in any branch of   Oriental Bank of Commerce, through Bank Challan form which   will be generated after online submission of application form.   25th May, 2015 upto 4:00 pm
4.   Candidates can download Admit card from University website   From 26th May, 2015
5. Date of conduct of PPMET-2015   31st May, 2015 (Sunday)
Timing: 11:00 am to 2:00 pm
6. Date of Result Declaration By 2nd June, 2015
