Pondicherry University Admissions to PG/Ph.D. Programmes 2015 -16

Admissions to P.G. / Ph.D. Programmes 2015-16
Application form is to be submitted online through the University website pondiuni.edu.in by following the instructions given therein.

MODE OF EXAM :
Online based Entrance test at designated centres. For Further details visit the University website

APPLICATION FEE :
For all courses Rs.250/- (Rs. 125/- for SC/ ST, exempted for differently abled candidates – supported with relevant certificates). Rs. 1,000/- for NRI and Overseas candidates. Use separate applications for each programme. Payment of Application fee can be made either through online or offline mode .

RESERVATION :
Reservation For OBC/SC/ST, Differently abled and puducherry students will be applicable to the extent indicated in the prospectus.

SELECTION PROCESS :
For PG Courses, selection will be based on Entrance Examination. For Ph.D., Courses, admission is based on Entrance Test and Interview.

EXAMINATION CENTRES :
Ahmedabad, Allahabad, Bangalore, Bhopal, Bhubaneswar, Chennai, Coimbatore, Cuttack, Guwahati, Hyderabad, Karaikal, Kolkata, Lucknow, Madurai, Mahe, Mumbai, New Delhi, Patna, Port Blair (Andamans), Puducherry, Ranchi, Shillong, Srinagar (J&k), Thiruvananthapuram, Tiruchirappalli, Vijayawada, Villupuram and Visakhapatnam.

Before starting Online Application Registration ensure that following are read/kept ready:
** Read Prospectus 2015-16, Instructions and other details thoroughly
** A virus-free computer with good Internet connectivity
** Educational qualification details of Candidate needed while applying
** A scanned passport photo of Candidate taken on a white background of size 140 x 160 (60Kb) for uploading
** Scanned Signature of Candidate done on a white background of size 90 x 120 (30Kb) for uploading
** A Valid e-mail id of Candidate which will be used for all admission related correspondences
** A Valid mobile number for sending SMS
** A valid Credit / Debit card/ Net Banking Account in case of ONLINE payment
** A Printer connected to system to print CHALLAN to make CASH payment at Indian Bank counters

Step 1 Candidate-Registration
** First time enter as New Candidate
** Read the instructions carefully, accept the Declaration and proceed
** Enter all basic details, verify before clicking on SUBMIT button (Once SUBMIT, one cannot edit any data entered on this page.)
** On submission a unique 6-digit password will be generated and will be sent via E-mail and SMS. (Also check Spam or Junk folder) Thereafter, login as Registered Candidate using this User-id and 6-digit password. This completes registration

Step 2 Course Selection & Application Fee Payment
Login as Registered Candidate
(a). Choose the course to apply for
(b). Payment can be made either by:

Online:
** Using Credit card/Debit card/Net Banking
** If successful, a confirmation e-mail and SMS will be sent
** Proceed further with Application Registration
** Challan (Cash) in Indian Bank:
** Challan will be displayed on the screen (has three portions)
** Print CHALLAN(Printer settings: Paper size A4, Mode – Landscape)
** Fill up and make payment at a convenient Indian Bank branch
** After payment the challan will be returned with the stamp of the bank and a JOURNAL number as acknowledgement
** Candidates need not send the “University Copy” of the challan after payment
** After updation (within the Next Two Business Days), e-mail and SMS confirmation will be sent
** Re-login, after confirmation is received, to continue with Application Registration

(c). To Apply for more than one course repeat step 2 (a) & (b)

(d). Else PREVIEW, SUBMIT and PRINT the Application(s)
Special Instructions for Defense Personnel
A serving Defence Personnel willing to seek admission in Pondicherry University should apply online only. He/She should however, take a print out of the online
