LEET Lateral Entry Entrance Test
Lateral Entry Entrance Test LEET-2024 is conducted by Himachal Pradesh Takniki Shiksha Board. Online application from the desirous eligible candidates are invited through website www.hptechboard.com for the Entrance test of Lateral Entry Entrance Test (LEET-2024) for admission to Diploma courses in Govt. /Pvt. Polytechnics of Himachal Pradesh for the Academic session 2024-25. Last Date for submission of Application Form is 4th May 2024.

Eligibility of LEET
Eligibility criteria for admission to 2nd year (3rd semester) in Polytechnic Engineering diploma courses under Lateral Entry Scheme as per AICTE, Approval Process Hand Book, Which are as under;
** The candidate must have passed 10+2 examination with physics/Mathematics/Chemistry/Computer Science/Electronics/Information Technology/Biology/Informatics Practices/Biotechnology/Technical Vocational subject/Agriculture/Engineering Graphics/Business Studies/Entrepreneurship
or
** 10th , + 2 years ITI under NCVT/SCVT/COE in Engineering stream shall be eligible for admission to Second year Diploma Course(s) of appropriate Programme as per AICTE Norms.
** In Case, candidates has appeared or going to appear in 10+2/NCVT/SCVT/COE examinations, is also eligible to appear in the Entrance test provisionally but his/her eligibility shall be verified at the time of counseling by the central Admission Selection Committee.
Entrance Fee of LEET
Candidates are required to pay Entrance fee amounting to Rs. 650/-(General Category) and Rs. 400/- (SC/ST/OBC Categories).The fee can be paid only online in the admission portal through credit card, debit card and Internet banking.
Pattern of Lateral Entry Entrance Test
Subjects & Marking scheme:
The Lateral Entry Entrance Test shall be conducted through a single question paper of 02 hours duration as per the following details :
Mathematics : 25 Questions
Physics : 25 Questions
Chemistry : 25 Questions
General Knowledge : 25 Questions(State-17,National Level-5. International Level-3)
TOTAL : 100 Questions
** All questions will be of objective type and each question carries equal marks.
** Each question is followed by 4 alternative answers. The candidate will have to choose the correct answer and dark/shade against the appropriate choice in the OMR response sheet with blue/black pen adhering to the instructions provided.
** There shall be no re-evaluation or re-checking of answer sheet.
** For correct answer, 04(four) marks will be awarded and 01(one) mark will be deducted for everywrong answer.
How To Fill Online Application for LEET?
1. Visit the Himachal Takniki Shiksha Board Website (http://www.hptechboard.com) and click on “Online Admission -2024.”
2. Click for Registration for Polytechnic Admission Lateral Entry to Diploma in Engineering LEET(2nd Year).
3. You will reach the homepage of “Eakadamik” portal .
4. You will be redirected to the information page.
5. Click on “New User Registration” .
6. You will be directed to “New Registration Page”.
7. Enter all the details and click on Submit button.
8. After submitting the form an Email and SMS will be sent to you on your registered email ID and Mobile No.
9. Applicant will be allotted unique online Registration Number and the same will be acknowledged/informed through email and SMS .
10. On the home page click on Login button.
11. Enter the Login and Password to login.
12. You will be redirected to the Application Form with auto populated details which you have already entered during the New Registration.
13. Please provide all the details as required in the application form.‟*‟ marked fields are mandatory and information must be entered to complete and submit the form successfully.
14. You may read the Instructions to fill the form before starting with filling the details in the notice board of “Eakadamik Portal”.
15. Refer section „Fields in Form „ below to know what is to be filled .
16. In case you are non-Himachali, all sub- categories would be disabled and are not needed to be filled .
17. Once you have completely filled the form, read the Terms & Conditions carefully/ It is mandatory to accept terms & conditions to submit the form. Click on the checkbox to accept the terms and conditions.
18. Once the form is filled and terms & conditions are accepted, click on “Save &Proceed to Next step” button at the end of the form.
19. You will be navigated to Next step to attach “Photograph and Signature‟‟.
20. Upload the photo and signature and click on “Save & Proceed to next Step “ to make the payment .

** The last date for the filling online Application Form on Board’s Website from facilitation centers/others sources is 04.05.2024 upto 12:00 Midnight PM
** Lateral Entry Entrance Test 2024 will be held on 26.05.2024 (Sunday)
** The duration of the entrance examination will be 02 hrs.
** Examination will be from 10.00 AM to 12.00 Noon
