B.Ed Entrance Test :

Medium of Instructions for B.Ed. Programming (Regular Mode) will be English or Hindi. The candidates are required to exercise their option of medium of instructions in his / her Application Form.

Eligibility :
(i) Candidates with at least 50% marks either in Bachelors’ Degree and / or in the Master Degree in Science / Social Science / Humanities, Bachelors’ in Engineering or Technology with specialization in Science and Mathematics with 55 % marks or any other qualification equivalent thereto are eligible for admission to the programme.

(ii) The reservation and relaxation for SC/ST/OBC/PWD and other categories shall be as per the rules of the State Government.

Duration of Course :
(i) The minimum duration of the course shall be for two years and maximum four years.
(ii) The Examination will be usually held in the month of July / August every year.

Guidelines for Reservation :
Reservation of seats is as per the Reservation policy of the Bihar State Govt. and is subject to any change / amendment by the Bihar State Govt. from time to time.

The total number of seats and reservation for different categories are mentioned as follows:
The total number of seats in each B.Ed. College is 100 out of which 25 seats will be filled up directly by the management of the college. The remaining 75% seats will be filled up by the centralized Selection Committee on the basis of merit list of entrance examination. The reservation of seats will be as follows:
1. General Category – 37 Seats
2. Reserved Category
S.T. – 01% 01 Seat
S.C. – 16% 12 Seats
B.C. – 12% 09 Seats
E.B.C. – 18% 14 Seats
W.B.C. – 03% 02 Seats

Physically handicapped of Bihar – 3% (category to which he / she belongs).
Such reserved category candidate, who is selected on the basis of his merit, shall be counted against 50% vacancies in the open merit category and not against the reserved category vacancies.

Women of Backward classes means women of all reserved classes and includes women of Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes, Extremely Backward Classes and Backward Classes.

(a) If the applicants in required number are not available for admission in reserved categories, the exchange of remaining reservation seats will be as follows:
(i) Exchange shall be possible between the Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes.
(ii)Exchange shall be possible between th Backward / Extremely Backward Classes.

(b) In case of unavailability of applicants of reserved category, the vacant seats may be converted in general category.

(c) In case of non-availability of suitable candidates for the vacancies reserved for women of Backward Classes, the vacancies shall be filled in order of preference as follows:-
(i) by the candidates of the Scheduled Castes
(ii) by the candidates of the Scheduled Tribes
(iii) by the candidates of the Extremely Backward Classes
(iv) by the candidates of the Backward Classes

The 25% of the total seats will be filled up by the management of the institute from every the available applicants for the concerned institution. The candidates who have appeared in the entrance examination will have to apply for admission afresh against seats to the institution on the proforma prescribed by the institution for the purpose. The prescribed time schedule and transparency will strictly be followed for such admission by the management.

The admission of such seats shall also be made strictly on the basis merit determined by the score secured in the entrance examination.

The reservation policy of the State Government shall also be followed in filling up such seats. All informations regarding such admission will be displayed on notice board of the institution.

Mode of Admission :

Admission shall be made on merit determined on the basis of Combined Entrance Test Examination conducted by Babasaheb Bhimrao Ambedkar Bihar University, Muzaffarpur. The Written Test will be of 2 hrs duration containing 60 questions in all of 2 marks each. The question will be set from the broad area of General English (10 questions), General Hindi (10 questions), Logical Ability (15 questions) and General Awareness (25 questions). The OMR sheet will be used for entrance examination.

The college will be assigned on the basis of merit and preferential option excercised by the applicants. The merit list and the assigned college will be published on the website i.e. brabu.net within 10 days of the entrance test. The selected candidates will be required to take admission in their assigned college within the specified time alongwith the necessary documents and fee failing which they will forfeit their claims. The score card may also be downloaded from the above website.

In case of availability of vacant seats, 2nd and 3rd subsequent lists will also be published as per the following time schedule.
(i) 2nd list (if any) – 21.07.2015
(ii) 3rd list (if any) – 28.07.2015
The admitted students will not be considered in subsequent lists.

i) Fee for Prospectus and Application form for Entrance Test : Rs. 1,500/- (Rupees One Thousand Five Hundred) only

(ii) Admission & Tuition Fee : Rs. 1,30,000 (Rupees One Lakh Thirty Thousand) Rs. 65,000 (Rupees Sixty Five Thousand) per year

(iii) Examination Fee : Rs. 2,000/- (Rupees Two Thousand) per Exam.
Total Fees:- 1,30,000+1,500+4,000=1,35,500/- (Rupees in words One Lakh Thirty Five Thousand Five Hundred) only

Note:- The applicants are required to deposit the fee of one year only at the time of admission and will submit an affidavit and / or bank guarantee for the remaining amount of fee which will be deposited at the beginning of second year.

Incomplete & Late Applications :
Incomplete and late Applications Forms / Re-registration Form, wrong options of programme or elective, false information furnished, if any, will be summarily rejected without any intimation to the candidate concerned. Candidates are, therefore, advised to fill up the relevant columns carefully and enclose all the attested copies of the necessary certificates as and when asked for and submit the form to the Registrar, B.R.A. Bihar University, Muzaffarpur- 842001 in person or by post to reach latest by 24.06.2015.
