GITAM Science Admission Test :

Candidates seeking admission to various M.Sc. programmes of GITAM Institute of Science, GITAM University are required to appear for GITAM Science Admission Test (GSAT – 2016) to be held at various centres in Andhra Pradesh and other parts of India.

FOR ADMISSION TO M.Sc. PROGRAMMES:
** Admission is based on the rank obtained in the entrance test.
** Requirement for admission to all science programmes is a minimum aggregate of 50% or second division marks in group (optional) subjects in the qualifying examination.
** Candidates who have appeared/ are appearing for the final examinations in 2016 are also eligible.
** The GSAT – 2016 consists of the following tests.
** In each test, there will be 60 multiple choice questions from the syllabus which can be downloaded from the GITAM website gitam.edu.
** Ranks will be given separately based on the performance in the respective tests.

The question paper contains three sections:
A (15 bits), B (20 bits) and C (25 bits)
** In addition to the Test 105, students qualified in Test 104 are also eligible for admission into M.Sc. Environmental Science

NOTE: Candidates are required to apply separately for each test. Fee for each test is Rs.300/-

FOR ADMISSION TO UG PROGRAMMES :
[BEM /5 year Integrated M.Sc., BCA and B.Sc]:
GITAM Institute of Science, GITAM University, offers the following courses for Intermediate / +2 candidates.
** Bachelor of Environmental Management (BEM)
** Five year Integrated M.Sc. Programme in Biotechnology (with an option to secure B.Sc. at the end of 3rd year and B.Sc. (Hons.) at the end of 4th year)
[Candidates with science optionals are only eligible]
** Five year integrated M.Sc. Program in Chemistry (Sponsored by Laurus Labs)
** Bachelor of Computer Applications (BCA)
** Bachelor of Science* (B.Sc. with Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry / Electronics/Computer Science)

* Candidates with Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry at Intermediate / +2 only can apply
** Candidates seeking admission to the above programmes are required to appear for an entrance test GSAT – 2016 to be held at various centres in Andhra Pradesh and other parts of India.

** Admission is based on the rank obtained in the entrance test.
** Requirement for admission to the above programmes is a minimum aggregate of 50% marks in group (optional) subjects in the qualifying examination.
** Candidates who have appeared/ are appearing for the final examinations in 2016 are also eligible.

Test No.106 consists of three sections and in each section there will be 30 multiple choice questions :

Candidates with other than science optionals at Intermediate / +2, seeking admission to BEM programme, have to attempt Section D of Test Code No.106:
