PhD Admission Entrance Test :
Applications for eligible candidates are invited for admission to PhD programs (Full time / in service/ Part time) in all subjects/specialties of Medical, Dental, Physiotherapy, Nursing, Pharmacy and Management faculties of Sumandeep Vidyapeeth Deemed to be University for the Academic Year 2016-17.

Eligibility :
a) Candidates with MD / MS, DM / MCh /PG Diploma/ MSc (Medical) degree from MCI recognized college / Institution.
b) Candidates with MDS or equivalent Master’s degree from DCI recognized college / Institution.
c) Candidates with PG degree in Physiotherapy (MPT), PG degree in Nursing (MSc) and PG degree in Pharmacy (M Pharm) & Pharm D and MBA from a college / Institution Recognized by INC / IAP / PCI / AICTE.
d) Regular employees of Sumandeep Vidyapeeth Deemed to be University are eligible for “in service” PhD programs in their respective faculty provided they meet the regulations thereto;
e) Part time candidates must be a full time faculty of Medicine/ Dental /Physiotherapy/Nursing/Pharmacy/Management sponsored by the concerned institute / organization having the required research facilities. The candidate should furnish a “No objection certificate” from his/her parent organization. Other terms & conditions remain the same as in Sumandeep Vidyapeeth PhD Regulations for admission to PhD Programme. The Part time research students must have a minimum attendance of sixty days in a year in the University.
f) Candidate must have scored minimum of 50% of marks at the qualifying examinations mentioned above.
How to Apply:
Candidate shall obtain an application form from university office and can be downloaded from our website.(sumandeepuniversity.co.in).
Filled up application forms along with attested Xerox copies of all marks cards (UG & PG). passing certificate, registration certificates as applicable, three copies of recent passport size photograph and Demand draft of Rs.3500/- of any nationalized bank in favour of “Sumandeep Vidyapeeth” payable at Vadodara; should be submitted/sent to The PhD coordinator, Sumandeep Vidyapeeth Deemed to be University, Piparia, Waghodiya Road, Vadodara-391760, Gujarat on or before Saturday, 20th February 2016, up to 5 pm. Please mention on the top of envelope as “Application form for PhD Program 2016-17.
Procedure for Selection:
** The candidates aspiring to register for PhD program shall appear for entrance examination conducted by Sumandeep Vidyapeeth Deemed University.
** Successful candidates shall be called for an interview.
** Subject-wise merit list will be generated based on the performance at the entrance test and interview.
** Successful candidates will be invited to participate in PhD registration process.

Last Date for submission of form; Thursday, 10th March 2016 up to 5 pm
Date of Entrance exam; Saturday, 12th March 2016 between 2 pm to 5 pm
Announcement of Results; Friday, 25th March 2016
Interview date; Monday, 4th April 2016 from 10 am onwards
Announcement of Selected candidate list and admissions; Monday, 4th April 2016 by 5 pm
Program Start Date; Friday, 15st April 2016
Induction program ; Friday, 15st April 2016 from 10 am onwards
Venue:
Examination will be held in Examination hall of Sumandeep Vidyapeeth Deemed University, Pipariya, Vadodara
Entrance Test Details:
** The entrance test shall be conducted by the Sumandeep Vidyapeeth PhD Entrance Test Secretariat as per the notification issued by the University.
** Duration of test will be three hours.
** The entrance test shall have Three sections with a total of 150 marks;
i) Section-I:
General Aptitude -50 marks
The General Aptitude Test shall comprise of 50 questions of objective type with multiple choices For each correct answer candidate will earn 1 mark. There will be no negative marking. If a question has not been attempted no credit will be given. The questions will be distributed into various areas as follows A. Quantitative Aptitude -20 marks B. Analytical Ability and Logical Reasoning -10 marks C. Test of English -10 marks D. General Awareness -10 marks
ii) Section-II:
Research Methodology and Bio-Statistics – 50 marks
This section on Research Methodology and Bio-statistics shall be descriptive type and will comprise of questions of varied marks.
iii) Section-III:
Subject/Specialty specific – 50 marks
Subject/Specialty specific section shall comprise of 50 questions of objective type with multiple choices.
There will be no negative marking.
