ADMISSION PROCEDURE :
Admission to all Certificate courses shall be made on the basis of a National Level Entrance Test (GET-I). General principles relating to reservation, quota for the candidates of West Bengal State, Other States and U.T. are given in respective section below (Section-15). Seats are also reserved for candidate belonging to OBC, SC, ST and Persons with Disabilities (PWD) candidates as per the guidelines issued by MHRD, Govt. of India and as Institute adopt it.
The candidates have to fulfill the medical standards required for admission as set out by the Institute. Notwithstanding anything aforesaid, the admission of a candidate shall be subject to:
** Submission of a migration/school leaving certificate from the concerned Board or University (within three (3) months from the date of admission)
** Good conduct certificate from the Head of the Institute last studied.
** Medical fitness certificate.
The above documents are to be furnished at the time of admission. If, at any time after admission, it is found that a candidate has not fulfilled all the requirements stipulated in the offer of admission, the head of the Institute may revoke the admission of the candidate.

EXAMINATION CENTRES FOR 2015 :
Centre Code Centre 01 Malda (West Bengal) 02 Kolkata (West Bengal) 03 Guwahati (Assam) 04 Delhi 05 Patna (Bihar) 06 Chennai (Tamilnadu) N.B. In case of insufficient number of candidates applied for a centre, the candidates of the centre will be reallocated to other nearest centre.

APPLICATION FORM AND APPLICATION FEE :
pplication Form will be available online at Institute website: http://www.gkciet.ac.in from 4th April to 4th May, 2015 (up to 4 PM) – Offline. from 11th April to 11th May, 2015 (up to 4 PM) – Online.
Application fee is of Rs 500/- (Rs 200/- for SC/ST candidates)
There is no examination fee for the candidates applying under PWD category.

HOW TO APPLY :
1. Log on to the website of GKCIET http://www.gkciet.ac.in and click on GKCIET All India Entrance Test (GET-I) – 2015 link.
2. Opt ONLINE APPLICATION for application through online
OR
OFFLINE APPLICATION for application through offline.
3. Prepare a demand draft towards application fee of Rs 500/- (For SC/ST candidates Rs 200/-. There is no examination fee for the candidates applying under PWD category) in favour of “Accounts Officer, GKCIET, Malda” payable at Malda.
4A. For ONLINE APPLICATION:
a) Fill all the data, upload scanned photograph, signature etc. in the online application form.
b) Take a printout of the complete filled-in form.
4B. For OFFLINE APPLICATION:
a) Download the application form and take its printout in A4 size page(s).
b) Fill all the data, paste photographs and put signature(s) in the appropriate places in the form.
5. Write the followings at the back side of the demand draft:
Name of the candidate
Father’s Name
Category
DOB
Contact No.
6. Submit the complete printout / filled application form along with the followings
i) Demand draft of appropriate fees
ii) Copy of Admit Card/equivalent of qualifying examination (self-attested).
iii) Photo copy of Certificate (self-attested) of minimum qualification for admission to the Certificate programme i.e. Matric (10th Std.) pass (Pass in English, Mathematics and Science is compulsory) from a State Secondary Education Board/CBSE/ICSE/National Open School or equivalent. Candidates appearing in the qualifying examination are also eligible to apply. In such case, a proof of appearing in the qualifying examination is to be attached with the application.
iv) Copy of Domicile Certificate (self-attested) from Government/local bodies to claim territorial quota. The original of the same will have to furnish during counseling.
v) Copy of Cast Certificate (SC/ST/OBC/PWD) (self-attested) from competent authority to claim reserved quota under the category. The original of the same will have to furnish during counseling.
vi) One (1) self-addressed envelope
The complete document must reach by 8th May 2015 (within 4:00 p.m.) for Offline Application and 15th May 2015 (within 4:00 p.m.) for Online Application by post / hand delivery to

7. Keep photo copies of application form and demand draft & original bank receipt of draft preparation for future reference.

PROCESS OF ADMIT CARD DISTRIBUTION :
1. Admit Card will be available online from GKCIET website http://www.gkciet.ac.in after receiving of application form and fees by this office for the GET-I. Date will be notified later in the website.
2. Candidates required to download the admit card.
3. They are also advised to carry the photo copies of application form & bank draft and original bank receipt of the draft in the Entrance Examination Centre.
21. GKCIET All India Entrance Test-2015
All India Entrance Test conducted for admission to Certificate programme is termed as GET-I.

FEE STRUCTURE FOR ACADEMIC YEAR 2015-2016 :
Fee structure for academic year 2015-2016 will be available on the web site of the institute.

PATTERN OF GKCIET ALL INDIA ENTRANCE TEST FOR CERTIFICATE PROGRAMME, 2015-16 :
GKCIET All India Entrance Test (GET-I) for admission to Certificate Programme will consist of one paper of 2 hours 30 minutes duration.
This paper will have 150 objective type questions of 150 marks from English & General Knowledge, Mathematics and Physical Science.

MEDIUM OF EXAMINATION :
Candidates appearing for GET-I shall have to answer questions in English. Question paper will be provided in English only.

GENERAL INFORMATION :
Candidate appearing in GET-I is allowed provisionally, subject to production of his/her Certificate having passed the qualifying examination on or before the day of counseling of the concerned programme, failing which his/her candidature shall be deemed to have been cancelled. Academic Calendar and study scheme along with syllabi shall be given to all the admitted students after commencement of Semester.
