Admission of Entrance Test of this Institute for the session 2016-17

Applications are invited for admission to Two Years Master of Tourism Administration (MTA) ,Five Years Integrated Course (Master) in Tourism Administration (FYICTA) and Three years Bachelor in Hotel Management(BHM) for the session 2016-17 through an Entrance Test followed by Group Discussion and Interview to be held at HPU Shimla only.

For MTA.
Last Date of Application Form :9th May,2016
Date of Entrance Test : 27th May-2016
No of Seats : 40 (20 Subsidized and 20 Non-Subsidised Seats)
Eligibility: Graduation in any discipline with 50% marks (45% for SC/ST) or equivalent.

For FYICTA (BTA+MTA)
Last Date of Application Form : 9th May,2016
Date of Entrance Test: 27th May- 2016
No. of seats: 35 (25 Subsidized and 10 Non-Subsidized Seats)
Eligibility : Plus 2 in any discipline with 50% marks (45% for SC/ST) or equivalent

For BHM
Last Date of Application Form : 9th May,2016
Date of Counselling : 15th July-2016
No. of Seats: 40(Non- Subsidized)
Eligibility: Plus 2 in any discipline with 50% marks (45% for SC/ST) or equivalent.

For prospectus Contact: Director, Institute of Vocational (Tourism ) Studies, on payment of Rs.200/- (on counter) or Rs.250/- (By post)through IPO/bank draft in favour of the Director, IVS,HPU Shimla

(Since last few years the department has achieved almost 100% Placements)

Entrance test : 50 marks
However the entrance test will carry the weightage of 80%.
The remaining 20 marks will be allotted as follows:-
Group Discussion 10 marks
Interview 10 marks
Total Marks 100 marks
* All admissions will be provisional subject to the fulfilling of eligibility criteria of qualifying marks.
