B.Ed. CET :
Application in prescribed forms are invited from eligible candidates for appearing in the Common Entrance Test (B.Ed. CET) 2016 for admission to the B.Ed. Programme under Dibrugarh University scheduled to be held on 12.06.2016 (Sunday).

a) Candidates with at least 50% marks (in Aggregate)*either in the Bachelor’s Degree and /or in the Master’s Degree in Sciences / Social Sciences / Humanities / Commerce OR Bachelor of Engineering / Bachelor of Technology of Dibrugarh University or from any other recognized University with Science and Mathematics securing at least 55% marks or any other qualification equivalent thereto are eligible for admission.
*As per the NCTE norms, candidate securing 50% marks or more in the Honours/ Major subject but less than 50% in aggregate in all the courses/ papers of the Bachelor’s degree will not be eligible for admission to the B.Ed. Programme.
b) Candidates who have appeared in the qualifying examinations are eligible for appearing in the B.Ed. CET, 2016 provided that admission of such candidates shall be considered as per norms only if the degree results are declared by 27.07.2016.
Relaxation of marks upto 5% in the qualifying examinations may be granted to the following candidates:
(a) Candidates belonging to the SC/ ST/ OBC/MOBC/ PWD categories,
(b) Teacher candidates with minimum of five years teaching experience in a school recognized up to 10th standard by the Board of Secondary Education, Assam.
(c) A candidate can avail the benefit of relaxation of marks only in any one of the above categories.
How to apply :
i. Please download the Application Form along with the Information Brochure, Admit Card and the Copy of the prescribed Bank Challan, which shall be available in the Dibrugarh University website (dibru.ac.in) from 11.05.2016 and fill up with all details carefully.
ii. Deposit the Entrance Fee of Rs.500/- of B.Ed.CET, 2016 at any branch of the Punjab National Bank or State Bank of India using the prescribed Bank Challan available with the Application Form.
Candidates willing to deposit the Fee at any Branch of the State Bank of India shall have to pay an additional amount of Rs.60/- as bank charge, which is not required if the Fee is deposited at any Branch of the Punjab National Bank.
iii. Submit the duly filled in Application Form along with the University Copy of Fee Deposit Receipt at the B.Ed. CET Centre, where you are planning to appear in the Test. In case of Dibrugarh University Centre, forms to be submitted at the Office of the Senior Statistician, Dibrugarh University. The last date of submission is 23.05.2016.

However, the Office will not be responsible for late postal delivery.
The University shall not verify the eligibility of a candidate at the time of receiving their Application Forms and Issuing Admit Card to them. The candidates not fulfilling the minimum eligibility criteria shall not be debarred from appearing the B.Ed. CET, 2016.
However, their candidature shall not be considered at the time of admission to the B.Ed. Programes conducted by Dibrugarh University and its affiliated colleges. Hence, the intending candidates are requested to ensure themselves regarding fulfillment of the minimum eligibility for admission into the B.Ed. Programme.
