PG Admission Entrance Test :

Applications are invited for admission to the following PG Courses for the academic year 2016-2018.

1. 02 (Two) years M.A Courses in
a) English
b) Sanskrit
c) Bengali &
2. 02 (Two) years M.Sc Course in
d) Applied Mathematics, Oceonology & Computer Application

3. Application form will be available from the college website grsm.org.in and candidate should fill up the downloaded form and submit it to the office byhand up to 01/07/2016 Application form will not be accepted by post or courier
4. The value of form Rs.- 200.00 by cash to be deposited at the cash counter at the time of submission of form.

5. 60% seats will be reserved exclusively for the students of VU and the students will be admitted on the basis of marks secured in the Honours subject and 40% of the seats in each PG Department would be opened up for open competition (Entrance Test) for the students of other universities. The candidates of VU may also appear at the Entrance Test for 40% seats.

6. Publication of merit list for 60% seats of VU Students is on 07-07-2016.
7. Selection of 40% students will be made strictly on the marks obtained in the Entrance Test.

8. The minimum marks for appearing at Entrance Test for 60% seats are 45% marks in Honours (For General Candidates) and 40% marks in Honours (For SC/ST/PH Candidates).
** Questions will be MCQ pattern: Full Marks-50: Total No. Of questions-50 (No alternative): Time-One and Half Hour.
** The date of Entrance Test is on 08/07/2016 at 12.00 noon (Friday)
** Admit Card of Entrance Test (in duplicate) will also be available from the website to be downloaded. Candidates must bring the filled in admit card (in duplicate) and submit it to the office at the time of submission of form.
** Date of publication of merit list of 40% seats and admission (from the merit through counselling) and commencement of classes will be notified in the website later on.
