GOVERNMENT OF TAMIL NADU ADMISSION TO POST BASIC B.Sc., NURSING COURSE [Diploma in Nursing Course completed candidates only] 2016 – 2017 SESSION

Applications can only be downloaded from the websites tnhealth.org and tn.gov.in and the filled in application along with necessary enclosures should be sent in a large sized cover measuring 38 cm X 28 cm superscribed ‘APPLICATION FOR POST BASIC B.SC. (Nursing) COURSE 2016-2017 SESSION’ addressed to the Secretary, Selection Committee, Kilpauk, Chennai -10 before the last date along with a Demand Draft for 350/- which is non-refundable towards the cost of application form drawn in favour of “The Secretary, Selection Committee, Kilpauk, Chennai 10” and payable at Chennai. The name of the candidate and the name of the course should be written on the reverse of the Demand Draft.

Age Limit :
Candidates should not have completed 45 years as on 31st December 2016. Evidence should be produced.

Educational Qualification :
(i) Candidates belonging to all categories should have passed Diploma in Nursing Examination with a pass in the Higher Secondary or Senior Secondary or Intermediate or 10 + 2 or an equivalent examination recognized by the University.
(ii) Should have obtained a certificate in General Nursing and Midwifery and registered as R.N.R.M. with the State Nurses Registration Council.
(iii) Service candidates should send their application through the Head of the Medical College Hospital /Institution in which they are presently working.
(iv) Service candidates serving in Tamil Nadu Medical Service on a regular basis should have completed two years of continuous regular service as on 31.05.2016
(v) Candidates who are serving purely under temporary category in Tamil Nadu Medical Service will be considered for selection under open quota as non-service candidates only.

(vi) Service candidates taking allotment in Self-financing colleges will not be paid salary and they have to avail leave to which they are eligible for the period of study on their own after obtaining prior permission from their Head of the Department concerned.

(vii) One mark for each completed year of experience as on 31.05.2016 which is calculated from the last date of the month of passing Diploma in Nursing Examination subject to a maximum of 10 marks shall be awarded as experience mark for both service and nonservice candidates.

(viii) The admission to Post Basic B.Sc. Nursing Course is open to both men and women in the ratio of 1: 9 (10% for men and 90% for women).

Candidates seeking admission to Post Basic B.Sc. (Nursing) course should submit the application form with necessary enclosures which should reach:
