Online Admission :

Online applications are invited from eligible Honours graduate candidates for admission to following regular full time PG Courses (duration- 2 years or 4 Semesters) for the session 2016-2017. Only completed online application will be considered. Conduct

Eligibility :
Graduates with 03 year Honours/major in relevant subject who have completed their graduation in the year 2016 & 2015 can apply.

For MA in Anthropology & Tribal Studies : 03 year Hons graduates in Sociology, History, Anthropology, Political Science, Philosophy, Geography and Economics may also apply.
For MA in Sociology : 03 year Hons graduates in Sociology, Anthropology, Political Science, Economics, History, Philosophy & Bengali may also apply.
For MA in Economics: 03 year Hons graduates in Economics, Mathematics, Physics, BE/ B. Tech may also apply.
For OTHER courses: Graduates with hons/major in the subject of study.

Application fee :
UR/ OBC-A/ OBC-B Category Rs. 135/-
SC/ST/PH Category Rs. 90/-
Bank charge or Online payment charge will be applicable in addition to the application fee.

Candidates can deposit application fee in following ways
a) “Online Mode”- in the admission portal through debit card/credit card/net banking or
b) “Offline Mode” – in IDBI Bank, downloading and printing online generated bank challan.

Selection Process :
Home University Category: Selection will be made strictly in order of merit by taking into consideration the marks of Honours / Major subject (UG).

Other University Category: Selection will be made in order of merit. Merit list will be prepared by considering 60% of entrance test’s marks & 40% of Honours subject’s marks.

Verification of all original documents will be made at the time of counseling and only after document verification, she/he will be recommended for admission. If any short-listed candidate fails to produce her/his all original documents at the time of counseling, her/his candidature will be cancelled.

Application Procedure :
STEP-1 Register yourself in the portal
STEP-2 A verification messege will be sent to your emailid and mobile number. Enter the code in the verification box which will appear in the screen immediately after you register in the pirtal. This will complete the registration process.
STEP-3 Login (“Sign in”) into the system with your mobile number and code/password, received in your mobile number/email id. After successful login you will see dashboard which is the landing page of the portal.
STEP-4 Enter personal details and save it.
STEP-5 Upload your recent photograph and signature.

STEP-6 Select payment option and make payment.
For ONLINE PAYMENT- you will get gateway interface and complete the process.
For OFFLINE PAYMENT-take print out of the challan, deposit money at any branch of IDBI bank. Bank will provide Journal Number in the challan. Enter this Journal Number in the admission portal under the link “Journal Entry”. The application will not be considered for further processing unless you update Journal Number in the portal.
This is the last step towards online application.

STEP-7 Download/Print your application form immediately (in case of online payment) or after 48 hours( in case of offline payment) from the link “Print Profile”. Keep the Print out and “University Copy” part of original challan for future use. You have to produce the application form and Challan at the time of counseling at the University otherwise your candidature will be cancelled.

STEP-8 Download and Print Admit card (for candidates who are going to appear in the entrance test) and appear in the entrance test.

Issue of Admit Card for Entrance Test 4 days before the test
Date of PG Entrance Test for Other University Category (40% of seats) 08/08/2016 (Schedule may be published later)
Publication of Merit list for Other University Category (40% of seats) 12/08/2016
Counseling for Other University Category (40% of seats) Will be notified on 12/08/2016
After first counseling the vacant seat (If any) status will be notified and posted in skbu.ac.in.

Documents Required at the time of counseling:
All originals and one set of attested photocopies of following documents:
a) Print out of application form and “University copy” part of the original challan.
b) Photo ID card: Issued by Govt. authority
c) Proof of age: Admit or Certificate of Madhyamik or equivalent examination
d) All Undergraduate Mark-sheets.
e) Certificate of Reserve category (if applicable): SC/SC/OBC/PH certificate issued by Govt. authority,
f) Person With Disability Certificate(if applicable): PH certificate
