Direct Second Year Engineering/ Technology :

Admission Notice for Admission to Direct Second Year of Four Year Full time Degree Course in Engineering / Technology 2016-17

Eligibility for admission for Maharashtra State & All India Candidates :
(i) The Candidate should be an Indian National;

(ii) Passed Diploma Course in Engineering and Technology with at least 45% marks in appropriate branch of Engineering and Technology from an All India Council for Technical Education or Central or State Government approved Institution or its equivalent; OR

(iii) Passed B.Sc. Degree from a University Grants Commission (UGC) or Association of Indian Universities recognized University with at least 45% marks and passed HSC with Mathematics as a subject Provided that students belonging to this category shall clear the subjects of Engineering Graphics/ Engineering Drawing and Engineering Mechanics of the first year Engineering Program along with second year subjects.

Important Note :
1. All types of candidates including minorities aspiring for admission under CAP seats, it is mandatory to get registered and get Documents Verified and Confirmed at Facilitation Center.
2. As per the Rule No 3 & 13 of the notified rules, candidates aspiring for admission for Institutional Quota, vacant seats after CAP, it is a prerequisite & mandatory to get documents verified and confirmed at facilitation centers.
3. Only those Candidates who have verified and confirmed documents at Facilitation Centers and having CAP Merit number shall be eligible for admission for all types of seats/quota.

Online Registration for Admission: Availability of the Application Kit and Mode of Payment
i. It is mandatory for the aspiring candidates to purchase Application Kit from any Facilitation Center (FC) against the payment of Rs. 500/- in CASH for General Category & Outside Maharashtra State (OMS) candidates. This fee is non-refundable and non-transferable under any circumstances.

ii. The Application Kit consists of Application ID and Password, by which the candidate shall be able to fill the Online Application Form. It is necessary to get application kit online activated at FC from where it is purchased.

iii. The candidates should apply online on dse16.dtemaharashtra.org/dse16 as per schedule
1. Online registration of application for admission through computer connected to Internet on the website for Maharashtra State/All India candidates. 14-07-2016 to 23-07-2016
2. Documents verification, updating and confirmation of Application Form for Admission in person at Facilitation Center(FC). 14-07-2016 to 23-07-2016 Up to 5.00PM
3. Display of the provisional merit lists on website. up to 26-07-2016
4. Submission of grievance, if any, at FC 27-07-2016 to 29-07-2016 up to 5.00PM
5. Display of the final merit lists for all types of candidates on website. Up to 30-07-2016

Important Instructions :

1. The List of the institutes identified as Facilitation Centers (FC) is available on the website.
2. The Information Brochure shall be given to the candidate on producing original Diploma/Degree Mark sheet at FC where the candidates have verified & confirmed the application.
3. The candidates are required to produce the documents in original for verification and Confirmation of Application Form at FC.
4. Candidates are advised to keep the necessary documents ready and scan/upload all the documents.
5. If candidates fail to confirm online filled Application Form at FC, then such applications will be rejected and name of such candidates will not appear in the merit list(s) prepared for the purpose of Admission for both CAP as well as non CAP process.

6. The candidates belonging to SC, VJ/DT (NT (A), NT (B), NT(C), NT (D), OBC and SBC categories should produce “Caste Validity Certificate” issued by Scrutiny Committee of Social Welfare Department and the Candidate belonging to ST category should submit “Tribe Validity Certificate” issued by Scrutiny Committee of Tribal Department.

All Backward Class candidates excluding SC & ST should produce Non Creamy Layer certificate valid up to 31st March 2017 at the time of verification of documents at FC, if these candidates are not able to produce the Non Creamy Layer certificate, then such candidates will be treated as GENERAL category candidates and such candidates will not be able to claim Reserved seats in the admission process.

7. Reserved category candidates unable to produce Caste/Tribe Validity Certificate are required produce Proforma H on Rs.100/- Non Judicial Bond Paper for verification.

8. Candidates who have registered as a reserved category candidate but unable to produce required documents for reservation claim during documents verification, shall have to pay difference amount of fees of ? 100/- at the FC in cash.
