Applications are invited through online in the prescribed form for admission to Ph.D. Degree Programme for the academic session 2016-2017 in the following subjects under different faculties.

A. Faculty of Veterinary and Animal Sciences.
In all departments as mentioned in VCI minimum standards excepting in the Departments like Infrastructural Livestock Farm Complex & Teaching Vety. Clinical Complex.
B. Faculty of Dairy Technology.
Dairy Chemistry & Dairy Microbiology.
C. Faculty of Fishery Sciences.
Aquaculture, Fish Processing Technology, Fishery Resources Management, Aquatic Animal Health, Aquatic Environment Management, Fishery Extension & Fishery Economics.
Admission Schedule :
1. Online Forms available through website : 19.09.2016
2. Last date of submission of forms (Hard copy) : 05.10.2016 at the office of the Controller of Examinations up to 4 P.M. along with required fees and testimonials.
3. Date of Written Test : 18. 10.2016
4. Dates of Personal Interviews : 19.10.2016 & 20.10.2016
5. Publication of Merit lists : 25.10.2016
6. Date of Admission : 28.10.2016
7. Date of Registration & Commencement of Semester : 02.11.2016
The Personal Interview of the candidates will be held in the chamber of the Dean of the concerned faculty. The written test will be held in the Examinations Hall, Vivek Bhawan, Office of the Controller of Examinations, WBUAFS, 68, K.B. Sarani, Kolkata-700 037 from 12.00 P.M. for all candidates.
General Instructions:
1. Fill in the form online.
2. Cost of form should be in Demand draft in favour of “West Bengal University of Animal & Fishery Sciences” payable at Kolkata from any Nationalized Bank of Rs. 500/- for General & Rs. 250/- for Reserved Categories.
3. University reserves the right to increase/ decrease the no. of seats in any department without assigning any reason thereof.
