Inviting Online application for ICAR’s 22nd All India Entrance Examination for admission to Bachelor (AIEEA-UG -2017),Master (AIEEA-PG-2017) and Ph.D. [AICE-JRF/SRF (PGS)-2017] Degree Programmes in Agriculture and allied Sciences at Agricultural Universities for 2017-18.

The Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR) invites online applications from Indian Nationals, in the prescribed format, for 22nd AIEEA-UG-2017 and AIEEA-PG-2017 to fill 15% seats for Bachelor degrees (100% for NDRI Karnal, RLB CAU, Jhansi, and Dr. RP CAU, Pusa, Bihar) and 25% seats for Master degrees (100% seats for ICAR Deemed-to-be-Universities, viz., IARI, IVRI, NDRI and CIFE + Dr. RPCAU, Pusa Bihar) for Master degrees in universities under ICAR-AU system including Central Agricultural University Imphal; Central Universities with Agricultural faculty (B.H.U., Viswa Bharati, Nagaland University, A.M.U. for the academic session 2017-18.

The admissions will be done in the accredited programmes of accredited colleges under the accredited Agricultural Universities only. AIEEA-UG-2017 does not include admission to Bachelor degree programme in Veterinary Sciences.

All India Competitive Examination for centralized admission to 25% seats for Ph.D. degree programmes in the field of Agriculture and Allied Sciences will also be conducted along with AIEEA-PG-2017 in AUs and 100% seats of Dr. RP CAU, Pusa, Bihar (other than IARI, IVRI, NDRI & CIFE) and the award of Junior/Senior Research Fellowship (JRF/SRF-PGS).

The applications will be submitted through ONLINE mode only. The instructions for online Application have been given in the respective Information Bulletins. For submitting application, the prescribed fee should be deposited through Credit/Debit card/Net banking using Payment Gateway of the Canara Bank only.

Eligibility:
Age:
For AIEEA-UG-2017 (For UG admission) : Not less than 16 years as on 31st August, 2017.
For AIEEA-PG-2017 (For PG Admission): Not less than 19 years as on 31st August 2017.
For AICE-JRF/SRF (PGS)-2017 (For Ph.D. Admission) : Not less than 20 years as on the date of examination, i.e. 11.06.2017.

Qualifying Examination:
For AIEEA-UG-2017: (Other than Veterinary Sciences)
Must have obtained not less than 50% marks in aggregate in 10+2 examination or equivalent with PCM/PCB/PCMB/PCF subject combinations/Inter Agriculture for admission under General, UPS (Under Privileged State) and OBC (Non-creamy layer) categories or 40% marks in aggregate for admission under SC, ST and PC categories.

However, candidates with PCF combination are eligible for admission to B.Sc. (Horti.) only. For details, refer Information Bulletin (AIEEA-UG-2017) on ICAR website: icar.org.in

For AIEEA-PG-2017:
Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture, Veterinary, Agricultural Engineering, Fisheries, Horticulture, Home Science (renamed as Community Science), Sericulture, Dairy Technology, Forestry, Agri. Marketing and Cooperation, Food Science, Biotechnology, etc., under 10+2+4 or 10+2+5 (B.V.Sc. &A.H.) or 10+6 (B.Sc. Ag.) years degree programmes (Few seats are available for candidates having Bachelor degree with 10+2+3 (basic sciences) at two ICAR-DUs i.e. IARI & NDRI only), with required OGPA of at least 6.60/10, 3.25/5, 2.60/4 for General, OBC (NCL) and UPS categories whereas for SC/ST/PC categories, the said requirement is 5.60/10, 2.75/5, 2.20/4, respectively.

In other cases, where grade-points are not awarded and only marks are awarded, the candidate must have secured at least 60% marks for General, OBC (NCL) and UPS categories; whereas for SC/ST/PC, the requirement is 50% marks (equivalence between OGPA and % marks will not be acceptable). The in-service candidates seeking admission in ICAR-DUs, should see the respective DU’s website.

For AICE-JRF/SRF (PGS)-2017:
The candidates must have passed Master’s Degree programme in the concerned discipline securing Overall Grade Point Average of at least 6.50/10.00 scale, 3.25/5.00 scale, 2.60/4.00 scale for General, OBC (NCL) and UPS Categories and 5.50/10.00, 2.75/5.00, 2.20/4.00 scale for SC/ST/PC categories, respectively.

In other cases, where grade-points are not awarded and only marks are awarded, the candidate must have secured at least 60% marks for General, OBC (NCL) and UPS Category. For SC/ST/PC candidates, the minimum percentage of marks will be 50%. The equivalence between OGPA and percent marks will not be acceptable.

Candidates must complete the post-graduate degree in all respects and produce the degree-completion certificate from the Registrar to this effect on the date of counseling, failing which they will not be considered for admission and the award of fellowship.

The fellowship would be granted only when the candidate seeks admission through counseling conducted by ICAR and pursues Ph.D. degree in an accredited Agricultural University (AU) except an ICAR-DU where 100% seats will be filled up through its own separate national level entrance examination.

The candidate must pursue Ph.D. degree in an AU other than the one from where he/she has obtained Bachelor’s or Master’s degree. The candidates who have already joined Ph.D. should not have completed two years as on the date of examination for availing fellowship.

The candidates having 10+2+3 years UG degree are not eligible for admissions in AUs through this examination. The above conditions will also apply to in-service candidates.

Online Application fee:
AIEEA-UG-2017 : Rs. 500/- for General, OBC (NCL) and UPS categories and Rs. 250/- for SC, ST and PC categories.
AIEEA-PG-2017 : Rs.600/- for General, OBC (NCL) and UPS categories and Rs.300/- for SC, ST and PC categories.
AICE-JRF/SRF(PGS)-2017 : Rs.1200/- for General, OBC (NCL) and UPS categories and Rs.600/- for SC, ST and PC categories.

In addition, Bank charges + service tax, as applicable, shall also be charged. To get the details, please see the respective Information Bulletins on ICAR website icar.org.in.

The last date for the receipt of hard copy of computer generated confirmation pages of online application in the office of “Controller of Examinations (Agril. Education), Room No. 216, ICAR, Krishi Anusandhan Bhavan-II, Pusa, New Delhi–110012″ for UG, PG and AICE-JRF/SRF (PGS) examinations is 15-05-2017.

Applications received after the last date may be rejected and the ICAR will not be held responsible for non-receipt of application within the time schedule due to postal delay or any other reasons.

It is the sole responsibility of the candidate to check his/her eligibility for admission before applying. ICAR will not be held responsible for refusing admission to any non-eligible candidate at the time of online counseling / admission in the allotted university.

The online counseling is expected to be held after 1st week of July, 2017. All disputes relating to the conduct of these examinations or any matter connected with this advertisement shall be in the jurisdiction of DELHI COURT only.
