From this year onwards, SET – Law test will be known as Symbiosis Law Admission Test (SLAT), SET – Design test as Symbiosis Entrance Exam for Design (SEED), SET – Engineering as SIT Engineering Entrance Exam (SITEEE). SET – General will continue as SET. These will be conducted in an online mode across various cities of India.

A candidate needs to register for Online SET / SLAT / SEED / SITEEE 2018 & also register for the institutes offering his/ her choice of programmes by paying separate programmes registration fees. If shortlisted, he/she would then need to attend the further admission process conducted by each of these institutes individually.

Aspirants can now complete the Online SET / SLAT / SEED / SITEE 2018 as well as programme registrations in the same portal (set-test.org)

Registration Process

The Symbiosis Entrance Test (SET) is a common online test for the admission processes at the undergraduate institutes of Symbiosis International (Deemed University) established as under Section 3 of the UGC Act 1956 vide notification No.F.9.12/2001 U.3 of the Govt. of India. In the year 2002 there were 3 constituent institutes of SIU.

Subsequently ten more institutes of Symbiosis have been brought under the ambit of the Symbiosis International Deemed University vide notification No.F.9.12/2006-U.3 (A).

Important :
** Till last year, the SET umbrella comprised of different papers, SET – Law, SET – Design, SET – General and SET – Engineering.
** From this year onwards, SET – Law test will be known as Symbiosis Law Admission Test (SLAT), SET – Design test as Symbiosis Entrance Exam for Design (SEED), SET – Engineering as SIT Engineering Entrance Exam (SITEEE). SET – General will continue as SET.

** Register online on the website set-test.org (from January 25, 2018 to April 14, 2018)

** Note: Any Changes in the online application form (except test city preferences and admission category) will be entertained only up to the closing date of Registration i.e. April 14, 2018. No changes shall be permitted after closing date under any circumstances. No change of test city requests will be entertained once candidates have completed their Online SET/SLAT/SEED/SITEEE 2018 registration.

** You may register for one paper in the morning (for example, SET-Law (SLAT) or SET-Design (SEED)), and/or one paper in the afternoon session (for example, SET-General (SET) or SET-Engineering (SITEEE)).

Note:
** For Engineering, if a candidate applies to seek admission on the basis of test other than SITEEE, he/she need not register for the same; rather he/she may apply directly to the concerned institute.
** Upload your latest scanned colour passport size photo at the time of Online Registration. (Your photograph should not be more than 3 months old).
** Ensure that the information you have filled is accurate.

Candidate should note that SET/SLAT/SEED/SITEEE 2018 is only the first step. Each Symbiosis institute has its independent selection process.

** The SET-2018 has 4 different papers:- (SET) SET-General, SEED (SET-Design), SLAT (SET-Law) and SITEEE (SET-Engineering).
** The test will be conducted in two sessions, morning and afternoon.

** A candidate may take more than one paper. However, he/she will have to choose and register for one paper from the morning session (SLAT/SEED) and/or one paper from the afternoon session (SET/SITEEE). Candidates are advised to make this decision at the time of their online registration. Adding a new session (entrance test) after the application is saved will not be possible and a fresh registration will have to be made.

Modes of payment

The candidate may pay through i) Billdesk Gateway ii) Axis Bank Gateway iii) Indian Bank Gateway iv) Demand Draft.

Pay the Entrance Test fee of Rs.1750/- for each test. If you are registering for one test in the morning (SLAT/SEED) and one test in the afternoon (SET/SITEEE), the fees are Rs. 3500 (From January 25, 2018 to April 14, 2018).

Payment Through Demand Draft

Submit a Demand Draft (DD) of Rs. 1750/- for ONE Test (morning OR afternoon) OR Rs. 3500/- for TWO Tests (one from morning session and one for afternoon session) from any Nationalized Bank in favour of “Symbiosis Test Secretariat” payable at Pune.

Choose the mode of Payment as ‘DD Payment’ in “Make Payment” Tab. Take a print of the payment advice form, fill in the DD Details, sign and send it along with the DD to the Symbiosis Test Secretariat only at:

The Symbiosis Test Secretariat will authenticate the details of Demand Draft and will send you an email confirming the payment. Only after the realisation of payment, would you be able to view your Admit Card.

IMPORTANT: SET / SLAT / SEED / SITEEE 2018 fee is non-refundable.

Note:
** Please note that Symbiosis Test Secretariat will not be responsible for non-delivery or any delay on the part of courier / postal services.
** It is also mandatory to complete the payment process of desired institute for desired programme(s) before the closing date of payment of the respective programme. Payment towards the programme(s) also needs to be done through the website only (set-test.org).

** For disputes between the candidate and the Symbiosis Test Secretariat, the candidate should first send an Email to registrar[AT]siu.edu.in with details about his/her grievance. If the candidate is not satisfied with the decision of the Registrar, he/she can appeal to the Ombudsman of the University.

Information regarding the same is available in siu.edu.in/student-affairs.php. All dispute between the candidate and STS in this regard are subject to the legal jurisdiction of Pune.

** SET / SLAT / SEED / SITEEE 2018 Score will be valid only for admission to select programmes of Symbiosis International (Deemed University) for the academic year of 2018-19. Admission to the select programmes at SIU are strictly based on merit, assessment of individual performance in the respective Entrance Test for Undergraduate Studies and other processes prescribed by the University.
