Application Guide

The Application Guide will help prospective students in preparing an application for any of the programmes (Doctoral Research, Undergraduate, Postgraduate and Professional) offered by SSSIHL for admissions.

It is essential that you read this guide carefully before you submit your application form with the required details and supporting materials and documentation. Candidates who fail to fulfill all requirements will not be considered for admissions.

Step 1 Choose Your Course

The first step in your application is to select the course you want to apply to. This is important as there are different applications forms for each programme (i.e. Undergraduate, Postgraduate, etc.). The degree programmes open for admissions are:
Undergraduate – B.A., B.A. (Hons.), B.B.A., Integrated M.C.A., B.Sc. and B.Sc. (Hons.)
Postgraduate – M.A. and M.Sc.
Professional – MBA, M.Tech. and B.Ed.

Step 2 Programme Eligibility & Descriptions

The minimum entrance requirements vary from programme to programme. Candidates who do not meet all the admissions criteria listed below will not be eligible for admissions and their applications will not be processed by the Admissions Office. They will be sent a letter of rejection by the Admissions Office.

Download the SSSIHL Admissions Prospectus 2018 to check the eligibility for the programme you wish to apply for.

Step 3 Complete An Application Form

How do I get an application form?
SSSIHL offers all applicants TWO options of initiating the application process for admissions:
Online – via the online application portal (recommended), or
Paper – pick up a paper application form directly from the Admissions Office

Application through Online Portal :
The online application is the easiest and most secure option to apply for admissions to SSSIHL.
For students who choose this option, please visit the link for the online application portal. In this option, you will be guided step-by-step how to fill up the form.

Note
: It is mandatory that you have an email ID. If you do not have one yet, we suggest you create an online account with popular web-based email service providers such as Google, Yahoo, Hotmail, etc. They are all free of charge.
The online application portal will guide you step by step to fill up the application form online. Once you have completed the requirements, you will be able to view the filled-in application form in PDF format and save it on your computer.

Paper Application Form :
If you prefer to get the Application form by post, please write to:
Admissions Office
Administrative Building
Sri Sathya Sai Institute of Higher Learning
Prasanthi Nilayam – 515 134,
Dist. Anantapur
Andhra Pradesh

What you must send with the written request:
Indian Postal Order (IPO) or Demand Draft (DD) for Rs.100/-. The Bank draft should be drawn in favour of Sri Sathya Sai Institute of Higher Learning, payable at SBI, Prasanthi Nilayam/Puttaparthi.
The name and complete postal address along with programmes for which application form is required should be clearly stated in Block letters on the reverse of the IPO/DD and also in the requisition letter.

Indication of which programme you would like to apply to – whether you want to apply for an Undergraduate, Postgraduate or Professional programme for admission. This is very important, since there are THREE separate application forms for admission – one each for Undergraduate, Postgraduate and Professional Programmes. Incorrect forms will be rejected.

Full return address. Please indicate your full return address, clearly mentioned in your written request, so that we can post you the form and related prospectus.

How do I fill an application form?

If you choose to apply via the online portal, all the instructions on filling the online form will be given on each page. Additionally, you may choose to refer to the instructions for filling in the form, given in the attachment below.

If you have received the application form by post, please make sure to read the full instructions on how to fill the application form included in the Admissions Prospectus 2018.

It is important that for any reason, if you are not able to comprehend the instructions, that you ask for help from someone, like an elder or a friend.

Candidates who are unable to comply fully with the instructions, and whose forms are incomplete in any way, (for example signatures by both you and your parent/guardian) will be rejected and their applications will not be processed further.

Step 4 Documents Checklist

Once you have filled in the application form in full – complete with signatures, photograph, etc. you will have to make sure that all the supporting documents are included with the form before posting them.
Online applicants will be able to view their form in full in PDF format after they go through the online application portal and will be able to print the same.
