Admission to Manipal Academy of Higher Education is through the online entrance examination, which is held at centres all over India.

Online Entrance Test

** The online entrance test is easy and requires a working knowledge of computers and a basic ease of use of the mouse and keyboard.
** It is conducted in English and we expect our applicants to have a working knowledge of English.
** The individual computers at various test centres are connected to a central server, which delivers the test in real time.
** The test consists of multiple choice questions (MCQ type). In this, for each given question, the applicant must choose the right, or the closest, answer from among the choices given.

Please ensure the following:
** Your computer is powered on and the keyboard and mouse are working properly. If you face a problem with the computer, please inform the examination invigilator immediately.
** Get comfortable with the computer before you begin writing the test.
** All questions are multiple choice questions and you are required to select the correct answer from the given choices.Only one of the given responses is correct or the most appropriate. You need to click on the button next to the answer.
** You can navigate and look through through the questions.

Rough Work :
Please use the pages supplied to you at the Test Centre for rough work.
No paper/s should be taken to the test hall for this purpose.

Scoring And Negative Marking :
For MTech, MSc Tech :
Each question carries four marks. A correct answer will be awarded four marks; a wrong answer will result in a one-mark deduction; unanswered questions will receive no marks.

Other courses :
** Each question carries one mark. A correct answer will be awarded one mark; a wrong answer or unanswered questions will be awarded no marks.
** The final score will be displayed on the screen immediately after the completion of the test.
** The candidate should acknowledge the score in the printout of the score card in the presence of the invigilator.

Instructions

The online entrance test is simple to get through.
We assume that the applicant taking the online test has a basic familiarity with computers and is comfortable with the use of keyboard and mouse.
Please Remember :
** The days on which you can appear for the online written test will be ascertained on the basis of the total number of applications received for a particular group of courses.
** If, for instance, a large number of applicants have opted for one particular test centre, then the online test will be administered at that test centre on several days.
** In the rare and unlikely event of a technical failure during the test, the candidate may be required to write the online test a second time. Of course, we assure you, it is most unlikely.
** Please don’t forget to visit manipal.edu regularly to keep up with the latest announcements and updates on this.

Online Test Booking System

** The online test booking system is a web based online scheduling system available on anipal.edu.
** You can check out the test centres here and book yourself for the online test at a centre, date and time of your choice.
** The schedule bookings are done on first-come-first-served basis and are subject to availability.

Online Test Booking Password

** The online test booking password will be sent to the candidates email Id given in the application form sufficiently in advance. If you do not receive it, you should immediately get in touch with the admission office.
** Please remember, MAHE is not responsible for non-receipt of password through email, especially if you have specified an incorrect email address, or an email address you no longer use.
** Once you receive the password, please be sure to keep it completely secure and confidential. Please do not disclose it to anyone, or auto-save it, or do anything that will make it liable for misuse.
** The online test booking password is your sole authentication for the online test and other related transactions; it is of no use to anyone else, and therefore, it should remain in your safekeeping.
** MAHE will not be held responsible for any claim or loss that results directly or indirectly from any unauthorized use or misuse of your online test booking password.
