Eligibility Criteria

Educational Criteria :
B.Tech Programs: Minimum 60% marks at Higher & Senior Secondary level (10th& 12th) and Minimum 60% aggregate in Physics, Chemistry & Mathematics at Senior Secondary level (12th).
B.Tech+LL.B(Hons.) Programs: Minimum 50% marks at Higher & Senior Secondary level (10th& 12th) and Minimum 50% aggregate in Physics, Chemistry & Mathematics at Senior Secondary level (12th).

Admission Criteria:
Examination Pathway (80% seats) – B. Tech admissions through UPES Engineering Aptitude Test (UPESEAT) 2018 followed by Centralized Counseling.

Age Criteria :
Only candidates whose date of birth falls on or after October 1, 1996 are eligible to apply for admission. Date of Birth as recorded in the SecondaryEducation Board only will be taken as authentic.

Last Date to Apply : 20th April 2018
Exam Date : 5th May 2018 – Offline Test 11th – 13th May 2018 – Online Test
Admit Cards : 25th April 2018

Non- Examination Pathway through Board Merit / JEE Merit(Subject to number of seats allotted ) :
Admissions through Board Merit : Minimum 80% marks in class 10th, 80% marks in class 12th and also have an aggregate of 80% in Physics, Chemistry and Maths (PCM) in class 12th.
Admissions through JEE Main Merit : Minimum 60% marks in class 10th, 60% marks in class 12th and also have an aggregate of 60% in Physics, Chemistry and Maths (PCM) in class 12th with JEE Main Score (Cut off to be declared after JEE mains Results)

Upto 20% seats shall be filled through Board Merit / JEE Main Merit category. In case of seats following vacant in this category; UPES has the right to fill these through UPES Examination. University also reserves the right to conduct further physical (paper pencil test) / online test for admission

Scholarships

All India Category :
** Eligibility criteria – 80% marks in class 10th and 12th with 85% in PCM
** 50% tuition fee waiver on 10% seats in each program in first year for CBSE, ICSE & State board pass out students
** The Scholarship will be renewed in the Second Semester provided the student obtains SGPA of 8/10.
** Scholarship in subsequent years will be as per scholarship policy of the University

Uttarakhand Domicile Special Scholarships :
Eligibility criteria :
** Minimum 80% marks in each of 10th, 12th class and PCM for B.Tech.
** 150 toppers from UK board
** Merit order allotment of 1 seat per program.
** The seats reserved under this category will be within the 15% reservation for Uttarakhand Domicile students.
** Should have “Sthai Niwas Praman Patra” (Permanent Residence Certificate)
** Students will be entitled only for 1 scholarship at a time (either through Uttarakhand Board Merit or through Uttarakhand Domicile category)

Scholarship :
** 25% of tuition fee for Boys and 35% for Girl students in first year
** The Scholarship will be renewed in the Second Semester provided the student obtains SGPA of 8/10
** Scholarship in subsequent years will be as per scholarship policy of the University
Candidates placed in compartment are not eligible for admission to any program of study in the University.

Note:
Candidates applying under this category would be required to produce the original “SthaiNiwasPramanPatra” during the day of admission failing which their candidature shall stand cancelled. Seats remaining unfilled by the stipulated date in this category shall be treated as unreserved
