FDDI AIST

Candidates are required to fill the Registration Form Online as per the instructions mentioned and upload the requisite documents at the time of Registration. A candidate has to make an online payment of Rs. 500 against the registration.

Educational Qualification

Eligibility for Bachelor Degree (B.Des) programmes : 10+2 / Intermediate Candidates appearing in 10+2 may also apply.

Eligibility for Master Degree programmes :
M. Des. (Footwear Design & Production) : Candidate is required to be a Graduate in Footwear / LGAD / Design / Engineering / Production / Technology or any other related programme.
M.Des (CAD : Candidate is required to be a Graduate in Footwear / LGAD / Design / Engineering / Production / Technology/Fine arts or any other related programme.
M.B.A (Retail & Fashion Merchandise) : Graduate in any discipline Candidatesappearinginfinalyearmayalsoapply for all Master Degree programmes.

Online Filling of Admission Form

STEP 1 : Access FDDI website fddiindia.com.
STEP 2: Click on icon named ADMISSIONS on the Home Page.
STEP 3: Click on the notification mentioned as “APPLY ONLINE”.
STEP 4: To start Registration click on the NEW USER.
STEP 5: Follow the instructions carefully and select the below mentioned instruction to start registration process by taking the curser to the relevant box and submit it.
STEP 6: Kindly mention the course you are applying for and fill in the details including your Name, Family details, Address and the educational qualification.
STEP 7: Upload your recent passport size photograph (size not more than 60 kb) and scanned signature (size note more than 30 kb).
STEP 8: Type the virtual image you see below in your registration form.
STEP 9: Click the Submit button to continue the further process.
STEP 10: Pay the registration fee as directed. Payment for registration can be made via debit/credit card. The registration fee is Rs. 500/- plus service charge as applicable.
STEP 11: After online payment you will be provided with the User Id and password on mobile number and Email ID given by you for further communication from the institute.
Note : In case your number is registered under DND (Do Not Disturb), you will not receive important messages. Kindly, deregister your number from DND services.

FAQ’s

Q: What is an INI or Institute of National Importance?
A: Institute of National Importance (INI) is the status conferred to a premier public higher education institution in India by an act of parliament. INI is an institution which “serves as a pivotal player in developing highly skilled personnel within the specified region of the country/state”

Q: What is the advantage of getting an INI status for FDDI? How would it affect the autonomy of FDDI?
A : After becoming an INI, FDDI has autonomy to design its courses as per the requirement of the industry, and award its own degree to the passing students. FDDI can now independently develop and conduct courses leading to graduate and post graduate degrees, doctoral and post-doctoral courses and research in the areas of footwear and leather products design and development and allied fields.

Every year, FDDI is imparting skill based graduate and post graduate courses in the fields of leather goods, footwear, retail and management to more than 2500 students across 8 campuses spread over India.

With the enhancement of the status of FDDI as an Institute of National Importance by the virtue of FDDI Act 2017, the institute will now be able to enroll around 2500 more students in the upcoming admission session, across its 12 campuses, 4 new campuses will become functional with new academic session.

Q: I am pursuing 3 years Diploma course after class 10th. Am I eligible for the bachelor degreeprogrammes?
A: Candidates applying for Bachelor degree program should have passed or be writing the qualifying examination under the higher secondary (10+2) scheme from any recognized Board of Education such as AISSCE/IB/ICSE/CBSE, or equivalents, during the academic year 2017-2018.

Q: I am giving my HSC through correspondence, am I eligible for the FDDI-AIST entrance for bachelor programme?
A: Senior Secondary School Examination conducted by the National Institute of Open Schooling (NIOS) with at least five subjects meets the eligibility criteria for FDDIAIST entrance for bachelor degree programme.

Q: If I am an appearing in the final year examination, am I eligible to apply for the courses?
A: Please check the Eligibility criteria section in Prospectus for details.

Q. How many seats are available in B.Des (Footwear Design and Production) at Noida Campus?
A: 60 seats are available in B.Des (Footwear Design and Production) at Noida campus. For more information about allocation of seats at different campuses a candidate can visit FDDI website fddiindia.com.

Q: What is the procedure and mode of application for admission?
A: Applicant can apply through online mode& the application form is available at website fddiindia.com.

Q: What amount do I need to pay for filling registration form? What is the procedure for the payment?
A: The cost of registration is 500/- plus service charges. Candidate can make the payment through online mode on FDDI website by using debit or credit card.

Q: Do I need to retain the print of the Online Registration Form?
A: Yes, It is mandatory to retain a print out of the Online Registration Form for any future correspondence with FDDI with respect to non-receipt of Admit Cards or other queries, if any.

Q: Which banks have a tie-up with FDDI for financial aid or education loans?
A: FDDI does not have a tie-up with any Bank. Candidates are requested to approach Banksdirectly, for any kind of financial aid/educational loans.
