Joint Admission Test 2015 (JAT 2015) for BMS/BBA(FIA)/BA(H) Business Economics courses

JOINT ADMISSION TEST 2015
ELIGIBILITY CONDITIONS:
For appearing in the BMS* BBA(FIA) B.A. (Hons.) Business Economics Joint Admission Test

(a) The candidate should have passed or have appeared in March/April 2015 in Senior Secondary School Examination of CBSE or any other examination considered equivalent by the University of Delhi.

(b) The General Category candidate should secure an aggregate of atleast 60% marks in his/her XII class examination in four papers including English Mathematics and other two subjects from the list of elective subjects as approved by University of Delhi. Minimum percentage of marks for OBC is 54% for SC& ST pass marks in qualifying examination for PwD 55% for CW 55%. Other conditions are same as for the General Category.

(c) The candidate should have obtained pass mark in each of the four papers considered for computing the aggregate.

(d) The candidate must produce the confirmed result and marksheet of the qualifying examination on the day of the Group Discussion and Personal Interview to be eligible for the process of admission to the BMS*/BBA(FIA) programs. Candidates who do not have the confirmed mark sheet will not be entertained under any circumstances. In case of a student seeking admission to the B.A. (Hons.) Business Economics program the confirmed result and marksheet of the qualifying examination must be produced on the day of the counselling.

(e) The category certificate (OBC- non creamy layer/SC/ST/PwD/CW) in the name of the candidate must be produced: On the day of the interview and group discussion (for BMS* BBA(FIA)) On the day of counselling (for B.A.(Hons.) Business Economics)

(f) Compartment cases of current year will not be considered for admission.

(g) Candidates who have appeared in the class XII examination in 2015 and who repeat a paper for improvement to gain eligibility shall not be considered for admission in the current year.

(h) Foreign Students seeking admission to BMS*/BBA(FIA)/B.A.(Hons) Business Economics course(s) against the prescribed quota of seats earmarked for them shall have to apply through the Foreign Students Advisor as per the Delhi University rules.

SELECTION AND ADMISSION :
Admission to the courses will be based on the combined weightage of entrance examination and marks scored in qualifying examination as per the details mentioned below:

I. Joint Admission Test
Date: 14 une 2015 Sunday Time: 3 p.m. to 5p.m. The examination will be held at centres in Delhi only

** Applicants shall have to take a test based on objective type multiple choice questions (four choices each).

** The written test is designed to evaluate the aptitude of the candidates to pursue a BMS*/BBA(FIA)/B.A. (Hons.) Business Economics degree.

** There is no prescribed syllabus or format for the entrance test. The following areas have ?een usually included in the entrance test in the past:
· Quantitative Ability
· Reasoning and Analytical Ability
· General English
· Business and General Awareness

** The candidate will be required to attempt 120 questions in 120 minutes. The answers are to be marked by blue or black ball point pen on a separate answer sheet (OMR) provided during the entrance test.

** Each correct answer will get a score of plus 3 marks, each wrong answer will get a score of minus 1 mark and a question not answered will get a score of zero marks.

** Marking of multiple answers for one question shall be treated as wrong answer.

** The test shall be of two hours duration. The Test Booklet shall be distributed to candidates 10 minutes before the start of the test so as to ena?le candidates to fill the details on test booklet and answer sheet mark their attendance and verification of their documents.

II. Group discussion and Interview for BMS* BBA(FIA) programs:
The written test is an eliminative test. Based on the performance in the written test candidates approximately four to six times the num?er of seats for the relevant categories for each course i.e. BMS* and BBA(FIA)shall be called for group discussion and interview.

III. Final Selection of Candidates
** The selection criteria for BMS* and BBA(FIA) will comprise of performance in oint Admission Test an interview a group discussion and performance in class XII.

Instructions for the Applicants :
1. The Admit Cards will be sent to the candidates via email from 8th to 10th June, 2015.
2. Please check the Admit Card carefully. In case of any discrepancy, communicate immediately to helpdesk admissionhelpdesk@sscbsdu.ac.in or visit Shaheed Sukhdev College of Business Studies, VivekVihar Phase II, Delhi – 110095 (9 :30 AM to 12:30 PM) from 11th to 12th June, 2015.
3. Candidate must report at the Examination Centre by 2.30 p.m.
4. No candidate shall be admitted to the Examination Centre after 3.00 p.m.
5. Candidates will not be allowed to enter the Examination Centre without the Admit Card.
6. All markings on the Test-Booklet and the OMR Answer Sheet must be with Blue/Black Ball Point Pen only.
7. No candidate will be allowed to appear at an examination centre other than the one allotted.
8. Calculation or Communication devices of any kind such as calculators, mobile phones etc. are not allowed in the Examination Hall.
9. Candidates must follow the instructions strictly as mentioned on the Test-Booklet cover.
10. Candidates shall not be allowed to leave the Examination Hall before the end of the examination.
11. On completion of the test, the candidate must hand over the Answer Sheet to the invigilator.
12. The candidate can take away the Test-Booklet, at the end of the test.
13. The signed copy of the Admit Card must be retained till the end of the admission process.
14. The admit card is issued provisionally to the candidate subject to his/her satisfying the eligibility conditions.

  2. I filled DU JAT form on 22 may a day after getting my result. I have got 74%. In the form my father didn’t fill the marks column. Is there any chances of getting the admit card get cancelled?

  7. Is Maths compulsory to fill jat 2015 form. Please help to my query as it is 2/06/15 already and 5/06/15 is the last day for submitting the form.

  15. There will be no GD and interview 4 economics honours and selection will be based on 12 th marks and JAT written exam , and how our rank will be calculated?

    1. Due to unavoidable circumstances the Online Application process for admission to BMS / B.A. (Hons.) Business Economics, BBA (FIA) courses that was to commence on 20 May 2015 has been delayed. It will now commence at 6 p.m. on Thursday, 21 May 2015. Inconvenience is regretted.

  20. Today is 20/04/2015 and its already evening but I haven’t found anywhere the link to get to the online application forms for JAT 2015 . Can anyone help me out ?
