KERALA ENGINEERING/MEDICAL ENTRANCE EXAMINATIONS-2015 SCORES OF ENGINEERING ENTRANCE EXAMINATION AND RANK LIST OF MEDICAL ENTRANCE EXAMINATION PUBLISHED

The scores secured by candidates in the Engineering Entrance Examination and the Rank List of Medical Entrance Examination, Kerala-2015 are published herewith.

The scores secured for Engineering Courses have been prepared on the basis of the Entrance Examination conducted on 20th ( Paper-I: Physics & Chemistry) and 21st (Paper-II: Mathematics) of April 2015 and the rank list for Medical & Allied Courses has been prepared on the basis of the Entrance Examination conducted on 22nd (Paper-I : Chemistry & Physics) and 23rd (Paper-II: Biology) of April 2015. Candidates who have not appeared for both the Papers of the concerned Entrance Examination and those who have scored less than 10 (with exception of SC/ST candidates) in each paper of the concerned Entrance Examination have been ‘Disqualified’ (DQLFD). The results of 853 candidates under Engineering Stream and the results of 746 candidates under Medical Stream have been withheld (WHELD) for various reasons.

The results will be available at the Office of the Commissioner for Entrance Examinations and on the website cee.kerala.gov.in

The Answer Keys of the Entrance Examinations were published on 23.04.2015. A few complaints regarding the questions / answer keys have been received and the same have been examined by Expert Committees constituted for the purpose. Based on the recommendations of the Expert Committees, the following modifications have been made in the Answer Keys published on 23.04.2015.

Accordingly, in Engineering Paper I (Physics & Chemistry), three (3) questions from Physics part have been deleted. Hence these questions have not been included in the valuation and no marks have been awarded for these deleted questions to any candidate. Valuation has been done based on 69 questions in Physics and 48 questions in Chemistry. The score obtained in Physics part of Engineering Paper I has been multiplied by (72/69), corrected to four decimal places and is added to the score obtained for Chemistry in Engineering Paper I. Similarly, one (1) question has been deleted from valuation in Engineering Paper II (Mathematics). The score obtained for 119 questions has been multiplied by (120/119) to determine the score in Engineering Paper II (Mathematics), corrected to four decimal places.

In the case of Medical Paper I (Chemistry & Physics), three (3) questions from Chemistry part and two (2) questions from Physics part have been deleted. Valuation has been done based on 69 questions in Chemistry and 46 questions in Physics. The score obtained in Chemistry part of Medical Paper I has been multiplied by (72/69), corrected to four decimal places. Similarly the score obtained in Physics part of Medical Paper I has been multiplied by (48/46), corrected to four decimal places. Both the scores are then added to get the total score in Medical Paper I.

The above formula is applied to award proportionate scores based on the score of the candidate for the questions considered for evaluation (excluding deleted questions) and to compensate the loss of scores for the deleted questions.

Valuation of the OMR answer scripts is computerized and is error-free. There is no provision for revaluation of answer scripts or re-checking of marks in this system of evaluation.

The results of candidates claiming SC/ST benefits, but whose community claims have not been cleared by the Screening Committee constituted for the purpose, have been withheld.

The inclusion of Roll No. of any candidate in the respective lists does not entitle him/her for admission unless he/she satisfies all the conditions of eligibility as prescribed in the Prospectus. Those candidates who have qualified in the Engineering Entrance Examination will have to submit the marks obtained by them in the qualifying examination (Plus Two or equivalent) for Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry/ Computer Science/Biotechnology/Biology in order to prepare the Engineering rank list 2015. Detailed notification for submission of marks in the qualifying examination will be issued separately. The Engineering rank list will be prepared by giving equal weightage to the marks obtained in the Entrance Examination (Paper I and Paper II put together), and the grade/marks obtained for Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry/Computer Science/Biotechnology/Biology put together in the final year of the qualifying examination, after effecting the standardization procedure as described in Clause 9.7.4 (b)(iii). The marks as given in the marks list of the final year of the qualifying examination (Plus Two or equivalent) only will be considered for preparation of Engineering Rank list.

The Category/Community-wise list based on the rank lists will also be published in due course. Complaints regarding the Category List should reach the Commissioner for Entrance Examinations within 5 days after the publication of the Category list.

Candidates will be admitted to the courses only if the academic eligibility conditions as prescribed in the Prospectus are fulfilled at the time of admission. This will be verified at the time of admission by the college authorities as specified in clause 11.7.2 of the Prospectus.

Separate Notification for Centralized Allotment Process (CAP) for allotment to various courses and colleges will be issued in due course.
