Notice for candidates :
CLAT-15 online counseling process shall start from 21.05.2015. In the first phase candidates shall be required to indicate their preferences for NLU(s) where they want to take admission. All the candidates who have appeared in CLAT-15 examination are advised to read carefully ‘Counseling and admissions – Instructions for candidates’ available on the CLAT website before proceeding for online counseling process.

Note: The merit-cum-preference will be the basic principle of admission for CLAT 2015 and the allotment of candidates to various NLU(s) will be based on the same, wherein the candidates will be able to mark the preferences of the NLU(s) for admission within the stipulated period mentioned in the schedule, failing which their right to be considered for admission shall be forfeited. )

Notes:
The Convener, CLAT 2015 is authorized to extend the any of the last date, if required.
If any of the proposed date falls on a public holiday/non-banking day or in case of emergencies, the next working day will be reckoned as the due date.
Counseling and admissions – Instructions for candidates :
1. The merit-cum-preference will be the basic principle of admission for CLAT 2015; candidates shall be allotted seats in various participating NLU(s) accordingly.
2. Every candidate who has appeared in CLAT-15 examination is advised to indicate his/her choice of preferred NLU(s) through online counseling window available on CLAT website during 21st-25th May 2015. CLAT-15 office, while making allotment of seats to participating NLU(s), shall take into account these preferences alongwith merit of a candidate. It is mandatory for candidates to indicate their preferential choices for all the 16 participating NLU(s).
3. Based on the preferences indicated by the candidates as per 2 above, the first indicative seat allocation list will be published on 31.05.2015.
4. Candidates (category-wise) upto a specific will be listed and they will be directed to make online/offline payment of Rs. 50,000/- towards counseling fee. This amount shall be adjusted later on against the total fee payable by the candidate. Counseling fee shall be payable between 4th – 10th June, 2015.
5. For payment of counseling fee candidates will be required to login their personal LOGIN ACCOUNT created by them at the time of their CLAT Registration.
6. The candidates interested in taking admission must deposit the required fees so as to be considered against the seats available with the participating NLU(s). The candidates failing to deposit the required fees by the specified date will forfeit their right to be considered for admission in CLAT- 2015 and their names will be dropped from the CLAT-2015 Merit List.
7. After completion of the process of deposition of counseling fee, the NLUwise second provisional allotment list shall be published on 15.06.2015.
8. During 16th – 19th of June, 2015, candidates will be able to exercise their options of either for locking their allotted seat or for further up-gradation. Candidate will also have option to withdraw from the admission process at this stage.
9. Consequences of choosing ‘Lock’, ‘Upgrade’ and ‘Withdrawal’ option are explained below:
I- Lock: Once a candidate chooses the ‘Lock’ option, he/she confirms his/her admission to the allotted NLU. Such candidate shall not be considered for further up-gradation to any other NLU(s) of his/her higher choice in case of any vacancy arising there at subsequent stage during counseling process.
II- Up-gradation: By choosing this option, the candidate opts for upgradation to the NLU of higher preference via subsequent allotment list. This way the candidate’s seat is not locked in allotted NLU and he/she is considered for further movement to the NLU of higher preferences in case of any vacancy arising there at subsequent stage during counseling process.
III- Withdrawal: By choosing this option, the candidate opts for his/her withdrawal from further admission process. The candidate will forfeit his/her right to be considered for admission through CLAT-2015 and his/her name will be dropped from the CLAT-2015 Merit List. He/she will be refunded the deposited amount by the CLAT Office after deducting the processing charge of Rs. 10,000/-. Any of the above options exercised by the candidate will be treated as final and irrevocable.
10. Based on the vacancies arisen after second allotment list, a third allotment list will be published on 22nd of June, 2015.
11. Candidates whose names figure in third allotment list (as mentioned in 10 above) will be required to complete admission formalities during 24th-27th June, 2015 at respective NLU(s).
12. Taking into account unfilled seats after completion of admission formalities in accordance with 11 above, a fourth and final allotment list will be published and the candidates will be required to complete admission formalities during 2nd – 4th July, 2015, at respective NLU(s). No upgradation shall be permissible thereafter.
13. A category-wise list of waitlisted candidates will also be issued along with each Provisional Allotment List.
14. In case of a waitlist candidate failing to get a seat in any of the NLU(s) due to non-availability of vacancy, the entire amount of Rs. 50,000/- deposited by such candidates will be refunded to them without any deduction.
15. After the final allotment of candidates to various NLU(s), they will be required to approach the allotted NLU with the balance amount towards the admission fees and the relevant certificates/documents in original issued by the competent authority in support of the various claims made by the candidates, during the scheduled periods given in the CLAT-2015 Calendar and complete the admission formalities. The certificates in original will be checked by the respective NLU(s) at the time of their admission. For detailed information/update about the dates kindly check the CLAT Calendar.
16. The candidate not having the required certificates/documents in original and failing to satisfy the eligibility requirements will not be allowed to take admission by the concerned Universities. Hence, the candidates seeking admission under various categories – especially those belonging to the reserved categories such as SC/ST/OBC/PWD/DFF/NRI and the Unreserved category candidates seeking admission under State Domicile category – are advised to obtain relevant certificates/ documents from the competent authorities well in advance for producing the same at the time of admission.
17. Those candidates who fail to report to the Universities and complete the admission formalities as per CLAT-2015 Calendar will forfeit their claim for admission and their seats will be filled-up by the NLU by following its own procedure and not by the CLAT Office.
18. Allotment of seats under ‘NRI/NRI sponsored’ category available in GNLU, Gandhinagar and NLU, Jodhpur shall be made by the CLAT office from amongst the candidates who had indicated their ‘NRI/NRI sponsored category’ in their application form. Candidates seeking admission under these categories in rest of the NLU(s) shall be required to contact these NLU(s) directly.
19. Candidates seeking admission under ‘Foreign Nationals’ category are advised to contact the respective NLU(s) directly as there is no provision of allocation of seats by CLAT office in respect of this category.
20. Candidates are advised to check their e-mail ID (registered with CLAT office) and their personal login account regularly to keep abreast of the latest information relating to online Counseling and admissions.
I was allotted NLU Assam, but I did not take part in admission rounds. So I want refund of counseling fees deposited offline. Please let me know the procedure to get refund of counseling fee.
I have been allotted GNLU and would like to know as when I should be there for certificate verification since I have to book train tickets
