QUESTION PATTERN :

** Four different subjects, namely Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and Biology will have four different Question Papers/Test Booklets.

** Full marks for each question paper of Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and Biology will be 100 marks.
** Duration of Examination of each paper will be 2 hours.
** The questions of the examination will be framed on the basis of the Syllabi of Tripura Joint Entrance Examination which is in force w.e.f. 2008. The syllabus for each subject is divided into 10 Modules. A Module carries 10 marks.
** Question paper for each subject will be of Multiple Choice Question (MCQ) type.
** There will be 50 (fifty) compulsory MCQs, taking 5 (five) questions from each Module for each subject of Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and Biology.
** Each question will carry 2 (two) marks. Total marks for a question paper will be 100 (50 x 2) for each subject.
** Each question will have four options (i.e. A,B,C,D) out of which the correct option (A/B/C/D) is only to be selected.
** After selecting the correct answer the candidate will have to mark the corresponding letter (i.e. A/B/C/D) in appropriate space provided in OMR Answer Sheet with blue or black ball point pen.
** No mark will be deducted for wrong answer.

TEXT BOOKLET/QUESTION PAPER :
Each subject of Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and Biology will have a Text Booklet/Question paper containing 50 Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs). Every question paper has a particular Series (A/B/C) mentioned on the front page which the candidate must carefully write at the appropriate place on the OMR Answer Sheet and also in the Attendance Sheet. If the appropriate series is not mentioned in OMR Sheet, the machine will not be able to recognize the correct answer. In that case error may arise in evaluation of OMR Sheet.

INSTRUCTIONS TO THE EXAMINEES :
1. Candidates can sit for the examination in the subjects for his / her respective group(A/B/C) as mentioned in the admit card.
2. Candidates must have to bring with them blue / black ball point pen only for marking on OMR sheet.
3. Candidates will not be allowed to use calculators and slide rules in the Examination Hall.
4. This admit card must be shown to the Officer in-charge / Invigilators supervising the examination.
5. Violation of any instruction and adoption of any unfair means in the Examination Hall shall render the candidate liable for cancellation of his / her answer script and forfeiture of his/ her claim for admission.
6. All applicants who appear to be prima-facie eligible are provisionally permitted to sit for Joint Entrance Examination. If after scrutiny, at any stage, it is found that the applicant is otherwise ineligible, his /her candidature will be automatically cancelled even if he / she has appeared in the examination and secured a position in the merit list.
7. The question of all the papers will be in English with Bengali Version.
8. Entry in Examination venue with mobile phone or any other electronic gadget / device is strictly prohibited.

MODE OF ANSWER :
Every question paper usually remains stapled for maintaining secrecy. Candidate should read the instructions printed on the first page immediately after getting it from the invigilator. Thereafter getting instruction from the invigilator the candidate has to un-staple the question paper. Then he/she should read the question paper carefully, so that a correct answer or most appropriate answer of each MCQ can be identified. After selecting the correct/closest/best answer the candidate will have to fill the corresponding circle (i.e. A/B/C/D) in appropriate space provided on OMR Answer Sheet.
