XLRI Xavier Aptitude Test XAT

XAT 2024 will be conducted on Sunday, January 07, 2024. XLRI conducts test on behalf of the XAMI. For more than 74 years XLRI is conducting test at all India level to select the most appropriate candidate for management education. XAT, one of the oldest competitive examinations in the country, has always kept pace with the cutting edge testing methodology. XAT’s multidimensional testing framework, is designed to meaningfully asses the aptitude of candidates for future business success. XAT score is being used by more than 100 institutes for the admission.

Eligibility Criteria for XAT

Recognized Bachelor’s Degree of minimum three years duration or equivalent in any discipline. Those completing their final examination by June 10, 2024 may also apply. All Indian candidates must appear for XAT 2024. However, NRI and Foreign candidates may apply through GMAT score.

By Registering and paying for XAT 2024, am I eligible for XLRI and other Associate Member Institutes?
Candidates interested in XLRI need to apply for the programmes of their choice. Please note that each institution independently decides the weightage to be given for each of the test components on the basis of its need. XLRI does not play any role in selection of the candidates in these institutes for Xat Associate Member Institutes click here . XAT is a common test for admission into academic programmes of XLRI.

Does Internship/Articleship counted as work experience?
Internship/Articleship is not counted as work experience.

Does the work experience before Graduation is counted
No, only the work experience post the graduation is counted.

I am in the final year of my graduation, am I eligible to register for XLRI?
Yes, you are eligible for admission to XLRI. You need to complete your final year examination by June 10, 2024.

Payment of Fees for XAT

XAT Registration Fee (without late fee) – Rs. 2100/-
Candidates interested in XLRI programmes needs to pay an additional fee of Rs. 200/- each.
Indian Candidates applying for GMP through GMAT– Rs. 2500/-
NRI/Foreign Candidates applying for one or more programmes through GMAT– Rs. 5000/-

Registration Procedure for XAT

Register for XAT 2024 and XLRI at www.xatonline.in. You may also apply for XAT Associate Institutions using XAT 2024 score for admission to their programmes.

Procedure for XAT and XLRI Registration :
i) Visit xatonline.in and click on “Register “ enter Name, Email Id, contact details and set password. A system generated email/message will be communicated to you. Candidate should save it for future communication.
ii) A candidate must verify his email by clicking on the link and proceed to complete the application procedure.
iii) In case the candidate is unable to complete the application form in one go, he / she can save the data already entered by choosing “SAVE AND EXIT “ tab. Prior to submission of the online application candidates are advised to verify the details in the online application form and modify the same if required. Visually Impaired candidates should fill the application form carefully and verify the details to ensure that the same are correct prior to final submission.
iv) Name of the candidate or his /her Father’s name/ Mother’s name etc. should be spelt correctly in the application as it appears in the Certificates/ Mark sheets/Identity proof. Any change/alteration found may disqualify the candidature.
v) Candidates can proceed to Scan and upload Photo & Signature as per the specifications given in the Guidelines.
vi) Candidates can proceed to fill Academic and Work experience details of the Application Form.
vii) Click on the Tabs to view and verify the entire application form before FINAL SUBMIT.
viii) Applicant details cannot be edited once the application form is submitted after payment.
ix) Select XLRI programme as per your preference if you wish to study in XLRI. (Through XAT or Through GMAT)

x) Select the XAT Test City preference. Candidates can choose 2 preferred test cities while filling XAT Application form. Candidates are advised to choose test city closer to their city of residence. However, the final authority to allot the TEST CITY rests with authority. (You can edit the test city preference only once before November 30, 2023.)

xi) Click on the “Payment” Tab after filling the application form and upload documents.
xii) Click on the “Submit” button to submit your application.
