SVKM’s NMIMS-NPAT UG Entrance Exam

SVKM’s NMIMS conducts the UG Entrance examination every year for class XII passed out / appearing candidates to be eligible to their UG Programs across campuses. The Entrance Examination is a computer based online examination to be held at the test centers. NMIMS-NPAT (National Test for Programs After Twelth) is the official entrance test for admissions to Undergraduate Degree Programs offered by NMIMS after 12th. It covers Programs in Commerce, Economics, International Studies, Branding & Advertising, Liberal Arts & Management.

Eligibility of NMIMS-NPAT

Candidate must have passed 10 + 2 or equivalent examination from recognized board

** A candidate who has passed 10+2 or equivalent examination from International Baccalaureate Diploma (IB Certificate or DP or CP awarded candidates with 24 credits compulsory and has passed 3 subjects at Higher Level (HL) and 3 subjects at Standard Level (SL) mandatorily from any stream.

** Candidates of CBSE / ICSE, should mention in the online registration / e-admission form (if selected) for 10+2 or equivalent examination, the aggregate marks of all the subjects the candidate has taken / opted and appeared for (not best of four, five, six or seven).

The candidate shall have passed all the subjects he / she has taken / opted and appeared in the applicable examination/s in a single attempt. The aggregate percentage of all subjects the candidate has taken / opted and appeared will be taken into consideration for confirming eligibility of the candidate for the program at the time of admission.

** In case the mark sheet issued by the applicable Board / Institution is in percentile/s, the actual aggregate percentage of all the subjects appeared by the candidate will be taken into consideration.
** Candidates above 25 years of age can apply for LLB programs only under NLAT Exam category. For all other programs the age criteria is Maximum 25 years of age.

** Those candidates who have passed or are appearing (all subject/s taken / opted) for 10+2 examination from a Board / University where Grade Point Average is given, such candidates must produce in writing from the Board / University concerned, the equivalent percentage for the GPA / CGPA obtained

How to Apply for NMIMS-NPAT?

NOTE: Candidate has to select one option to register and can select multiple options in the application form.

** For registration click on “Apply Now” and create an account
** Candidate will get the regisation number on their registration email id. to fill and complete the application form.
** Based on eligibility criteria select Test category (NMIMS-NPAT / NMIMS-CET / NMIMS-LAT) / School / Program and campus preferences
** Candidate can select multiple test category / multiple schools and multiple program preferences
** The registration fees is based on the number of Schools selected for each test category and the total retakes
** Only paid candidates will be allowed to schedule the exam
** Candidate can choose 1 main and 2 retakes for each of the examination category. In all, a candidate will be given chance to appear total 3 times of whichever exam he wishes to appear
** After the successful registration, the candidate will get options to choose the test date/s and test center
** Test dates / Test center availability will be subject to Test center capacity
** It will be available to the candidate modestly on first come first serve

FAQ on NMIMS-NPAT

Who can register?
Anyone who has completed 12th Std examination either passed or appeared.

Where can I find the link to register?

What are the examination categories?
There are 3 categories – NPAT / NMIMS CET/ NMIMS LAT.

Is the examination test center based or Home based?
The examination will be held at the specified Test centers only. In case of any exigency NMIMS will review.

Is there a different form for NPAT /NMIMS CET/NMIMS LAT?
There is a common form in which the candidate can choose multiple examinations.

How many attempts can a candidate take for each category of examination?
Candidate can take 1 main and 2 retakes for each of the examination category.

How many program preferences can the candidate give?
Maximum 5 preferences can be given by the candidate.

Can I change my School preferences?
Candidate can add the School preferences till the time he/she has attempted the main examination.

What is the fee for the year?
Fee will be mentioned in the offer letter.

How will I know that my registration form is submitted?
On submission of registration form candidate will receive a mail on their registered email id which will mention the candidates registration number.

Will I know my result after the examination?
The merit list will be declared after the examinations. Candidate can login and check their result.
