Chandigarh University Common Entrance Test (CUCET 2024) is a national-level entrance exam and scholarship test mandatory for admission. CUCET exam forms the basis of eligibility that is mandatory for admission in Engineering, MBA, Pharmacy, LLM, and Integrated Law programs. The amount of the scholarship depends on the fee of the program, the date of admission, and the performance of the student in CUCET 2024. The test will be based on the syllabi of concerned qualifying examination and aptitude for that subject.

Objective of Chandigarh University Common Entrance Test

The objective of this policy is to establish University’s commitment to admit deserving students on Merit basis and reward them with scholarships through Chandigarh University Common Entrance Test (CUCET) . This policy also aims to provide transparency and objectivity in administering and disbursing Chandigarh University Under-Graduate and Post-Graduate scholarships. The CUCET have been instituted to:

The CUCET is mandatory for under mentioned courses:
Admit students of
** Bachelor of Engineering (B.E.)
** Bachelor of Pharmacy (B.Pharmacy)
** Master of Business Administration (MBA) and Specialized MBA Programs
** Integrated Law programs (B.A+LLB, BBA+LLB, BCom+LLB)
** Pharm D.
** Master of Pharmacy (Pharmaceutical Chemistry)
** Master of Pharmacy (Pharmaceutics)
** Master of Pharmacy (Pharmacology)
** Master of Pharmacy (Industrial Pharmacy)
** Master of Law (LLM)
on Entrance Test basis only with an exception for those who secure more than 90% marks in qualifying examination or up to 50000 rank in JEE.

How to Apply for CUCET?

Applications for CUCET will be accepted by online and offline mode. CUCET exam will be conducted online only. Application forms can be submitted using one of the following methods.

** Register on CUCET registration page and create your profile.
** After successful registration, confirmation message is sent through SMS/E-mail.
** Once registered, pay registration fee of Rs.1000/- which includes the digital copy of the prospectus.
** Fill your current qualification with school name & subjects and choose CUCET exam date available in drop down.
** Appear in CUCET examination on the scheduled date and time through https://cucet.cuchd.in with your registered login details.
** Result will be intimated through E-mail and will also be displayed on https://cucet.cuchd.in in your login account.

Through Offline Mode :

Applicant may purchase CUCET Brochure cum form from University admission offices/ Authorized centres by paying Rs.1000/-.

** Register on CUCET registration page and create your profile.
** After successful registration, confirmation message is sent through SMS/E-mail.
** Scratch the CUCET form and fill the unique number given on the form in the option available on website.

How can I register for CUCET?

When can I apply for CUCET?
There are two phases of CUCET in which you can apply anytime from Nov 2023 onwards However, the deadlines for different phases are available on the website- https://cucet.cuchd.in.

Can I appear in multiple phases of CUCET for being eligible for higher percentage of scholarship?
Yes, you can appear in multiple phases of CUCET (CUCET-I, CUCET-II).Two attempts per phase is allowed. You can appear in the next attempt/phase by paying ₹500/-. Scholarship slabs are different for different phases.

By applying through off-line mode where do I have to send the CUCET application form?
The application form purchased offline will have a unique number. You have to fill this number while registering at https://cucet.cuchd.in. You don’t have to pay ₹1000/- again if form is purchased offline.

What should I do if I have not received the email/SMS post registration on CUCET?
If you have not received any email/SMS after registration, you can email the details of your Application Number to cucet[AT]cumail.in.

If I have already scored 90% in 10+2 and seeking admission in Mandatory Programs. Do I have to appear in CUCET?
If you have got more than 90% in 10+2, you need not to take the entrance test (CUCET). But while appearing for CUCET, if 10+2 result is not declared so it is recommended to appear in CUCET. The mandatory programs are ( B.E, B.Pharmacy, MBA, Integrated Law programs (B.A+LLB, BBA+LLB, BCom+LLB) and B.Sc (Hons) Agriculture,Pharm D., Master of Pharmacy (Pharmaceutics), Master of Pharmacy (Pharmacology), Master of Pharmacy (Industrial Pharmacy)).

Is CUCET examination conducted through both online or offline mode?

No, you can appear in the test from your home only.

Will I be issued any admit card for appearing in CUCET?
The CUCET Test details will be sent on your CUCET registered Email ID.

What will be the pattern of CUCET examination?

What will be the medium of online exam of CUCET?
The medium for the exam will be English only. Whereas for students with 10+2 Arts one can choose Hindi as a subject

Is there any negative marking for CUCET?
No, there will be no negative marking in CUCET.

In such cases of computer system failure or any other related problems, Student need to contact technical helpline numbers and can reach out us at cucet[AT]cumail.in. Moreover, the time lost will be duly counted and compensated as every second will be recorded by the examination server.
