NMIMS-LAT

The NMIMS School of Law (SOL) approved by the Bar Council of India aims to provide quality legal education in order to meet the aforementioned challenges. The School of Law (SOL) engages in case study model and class-debate methods as its chief teaching pedagogy. SOL has uniquely incorporated compulsory credit based Internship and Moot Court as subjects. SVKM’s NMIMS conducts the UG Entrance examination every year for class XII passed out / appearing candidates to be eligible to their UG Programs across campuses. The Entrance Examination is a computer based online examination to be held at the test centers.

Eligibility of NMIMS-LAT

Minimum 50% aggregate marks in 10 + 2 or equivalent examination
** A candidate who has passed 10+2 or equivalent examination from International Baccalaureate Diploma (IB Certificate or DP or CP awarded candidates with 24 credits compulsory and has passed 3 subjects at Higher Level (HL) and 3 subjects at Standard Level (SL) mandatorily from any stream.

** Candidates of CBSE / ICSE, should mention in the online registration / e-admission form (if selected) for 10+2 or equivalent examination, the aggregate marks of all the subjects the candidate has taken / opted and appeared for (not best of four, five, six or seven).

The candidate shall have passed all the subjects he / she has taken / opted and appeared in the applicable examination/s in a single attempt. The aggregate percentage of all subjects the candidate has taken / opted and appeared will be taken into consideration for confirming eligibility of the candidate for the program at the time of admission.

** In case the mark sheet issued by the applicable Board / Institution is in percentile/s, the actual aggregate percentage of all the subjects appeared by the candidate will be taken into consideration.
** Candidates above 25 years of age can apply for LLB programs only under NLAT Exam category. For all other programs the age criteria is Maximum 25 years of age.

** Those candidates who have passed or are appearing (all subject/s taken / opted) for 10+2 examination from a Board / University where Grade Point Average is given, such candidates must produce in writing from the Board / University concerned, the equivalent percentage for the GPA / CGPA obtained.

** International School/s candidates and those candidates who have completed their (10+2) or equivalent examination/s from overseas school/s / Institute/s / University will have to submit AIU certificate of equivalence (mandatory) to confirm their eligibility for the program as equivalent to (10+2) examination/s.

** Only single mark sheet with all compulsory subjects passed is mandatory, no compartmentalized mark sheet will be considered.

** Candidate whose final mark sheet is not available at the time of admission is required to upload internet copy / DG Locker of result duly attested by Principal of the school / college, failing which candidate will not be admitted for the program.

** Candidate will not be eligible if any subject is marked as ungraded / fail in the mark sheet / grade sheet. For absent / ungraded in any of the additional / non mandatory subject will be consider as eligible provided such candidate is declared as passed by respective board.

** Candidates appearing for their final 10+2 or equivalent examination can also apply provided they must obtain the required minimum eligibility criteria of the respective program and produce the entire necessary documents, in original, within the given stipulated time.

** As per program eligibility the mandatory subject should be appeared and passed.

Registration Process for NMIMS-LAT

Step 1 : Initial Registration
** Visit www.nmimslat.in
** For registration click on “Apply Now” and create an account.
** Candidate can choose the program-wise form and complete the registration.

Step 2 : Select Test category / school / Program/ Preferences
** Based on eligibility criteria SELECT the Test category (NMIMS-LAT) / School / Program and campus preferences.
** Candidate can select multiple test category / multiple schools and multiple program preferences.
** Candidate can select multiple attempts / retake/s for each of the category.

Step 3 : Pay the application fee and complete the process
** The registration fees is based on the number of Schools selected for each test category and the total retakes.
** Only paid candidates will be allowed to schedule the exam.
** Candidate can choose 1 main and 2 retakes for each of the examination category. In all, a candidate will be given chance to appear total 3 times of whichever exam he/she wishes to appear.
** Candidate should not register multiple times for the same exam category else it will lead to blocking the candidate from admission.

Step 4 : Select Test center / Test date
** After the successful registration and payment, the candidate will get options to schedule the exams by choosing the test date/s and test center.
** Test dates / Test center availability will be subject to Test center capacity.
** It will be available to the candidate modestly on first come first serve.
** Candidate has to schedule his / her examination.

Filling Application Form of NMIMS-LAT

** For registration click on “Apply Now” and create an account
** Candidate will get the regisation number on their registration email id. to fill and complete the application form.
** Based on eligibility criteria select Test category (NMIMS-NPAT / NMIMS-CET / NMIMS-LAT) / School / Program and campus preferences
** Candidate can select multiple test category / multiple schools and multiple program preferences
** The registration fees is based on the number of Schools selected for each test category and the total retakes
** Only paid candidates will be allowed to schedule the exam
** Candidate can choose 1 main and 2 retakes for each of the examination category. In all, a candidate will be given chance to appear total 3 times of whichever exam he wishes to appear
