KEA Karnataka Common Entrance Test

The Karnataka Common Entrance Test 2024 is being conducted by Karnataka Examinations Authority KEA. Application is common to the seat allotment of all professional courses viz., Engineering, Architecture, Naturopathy & Yoga, Veterinary, B. Pharma, 2nd year B.Pharma and Pharma-D, Farm Science courses [B.Sc. (Hons.) Agriculture, B.Sc. (Hons.) Sericulture etc.,], and B.Sc. (Nursing), Medical, Dental, Ayurveda, Unani, Homoeopathy, B.P.T., B.Sc. Allied Health Sciences,  BPO courses. Candidates should also mandatorily register themselves for CET-2024, fill the application through online and pay the application fees.

Important Dates of CET

01 Hosting of Information Bulletin on the KEA Website 10-01-2024 after 11.00 am
02 Commencement of registration and filling of Application Online & payment of application fees for CET-2024 From 11.00 am on 10-01-2024
03 Last date to fill the application online 10-02-2024 up to 11.59 pm
04 Last date to pay the application fees – online 14-02-2024

Eligibility of Karnataka Common Entrance Test

Applicant should have passed in Physics, Chemistry and Biology and English papers individually and must have obtained a minimum of 45% aggregate marks in PCB papers at the II PUC or 12th Standard i.e. (10+2). The candidate belonging to SC/ST or other backward classes shall obtain 40% marks in PCB papers together in the qualifying examination. Please note that SC/ST/OBC eligibility criteria are applicable to Karnataka SC/ST/OBC candidates only.

Non-Karnataka candidates will not be eligible for reservation. Further, non-Karnataka candidates will also be not eligible for Government share of seats to B.Sc. (Nursing) course through KEA.

How to Apply for CET?

Candidates are hereby informed to go through the Information Bulletin carefully and understand / acquaint themselves:-
1. Candidates have to apply online for CET-2024.
2. Information Bulletin can be downloaded from the Website
3. Online submission of Application Form can be done by accessing KEA Website Instructions for Online submission of Application Form are available in the Information Bulletin and on the KEA Website
4. Candidates must follow the instructions strictly as given in this Information Bulletin and also the updates published on KEA Website Candidates not complying with the instructions shall be summarily disqualified.
5. Candidates must retain the following documents with them as reference for future correspondence.
(i) At least three printouts of the finally submitted online Application.
(ii) Proof of fee paid
(iii) 2-3 copies of identical Photograph that was scanned and uploaded on the Online Application.
6. (a) Candidate must ensure that mobile numbers, e-mail address entered in the online application form are his/her own as in case of urgency KEA may send information / communications by SMS or mail on given mobile number and mailing ID only.
(b) The Candidate / parents are solely responsible for non-receipt of latest information due to wrong mobile number or mailing address filled in the Online Application Form.
7. Candidates must preserve the Admit Card till the admission is made in College or Institution.
8. For the latest updates, candidates must remain in touch with the KEA Website till the completion of final round of counseling.
9. Candidates / parents are advised to visit KEA Website at least twice in a day for the latest news / updates and also check their mobile / e-mail as in case of urgency KEA may send the information / communications.
10. KEA will reserve the right to withdraw any such admission made at any point of time which is not fulfilling the eligibility criteria / regulations fixed by the Competent Authority from time to time.
