Osmania University MBA/MCA Entrance Test

Applications are invited for Entrance Test for 2nd Phase Admissions into MBA (2 Years) & MCA (2 Years) through Distance mode for the Academic Year 2023- 2024 offered through semester system and approved by UGC-DEB, New Delhi by Prof. G. Ram Reddy Centre for Distance Education, Osmania University, Hyderabad. Applications through Online mode will be accepted from 10th February, 2024 to 20th February, 2024 and with a late fee of Rs. 500 up to 24th February, 2024.

Eligibility Conditions of MBA/MCA Entrance Test

MBA :
a) Any Graduate (10+2+3 or 10+2+4 or 10+3+3 pattern) with 50% marks (45% marks for BC/SC/ST candidates)
b) A pass in S.S.C is mandatory.
MCA :
a) Any (10+2+3 or 10+2+4 or 10+3+3 pattern).
b) Candidate who passed directly the qualifying examination with Mathematics, as one of the subject in the Degree course is eligible for admission; and
c) Others who have passed the qualifying examination without Mathematics, as one of the subjects in the Degree course, are eligible for admission if they pass 10+2 Examination with Mathematics.

Note: The eligibility of the candidates is not being verified at the time of application and at the time of issuing of hall tickets. Therefore, it is the candidate’s responsibility to ensure that he/she is eligible for the MBA/MCA programme which he/she is applying.

Registration Fee of MBA/MCA Entrance Test

The registration fee for online submission of application is Rs 900/-. The registration fee has to be paid through Net Banking / Debits Cards / Credit Cards.

How to Apply for MBA/MCA Entrance Test?

Procedure to submit online application:
a) Visit the website, www.ouadmissions.com and get registered by giving basic details and by paying the registration fee.
b) The registration ID will be sent to your registered mobile and e-mail ID.
c) Login to fill up the online application form.
d) Upload your scanned photo and signature.
e) Fill up the required details and submit the online application.
Note: A demo online application form is available in the website.

The Hall Tickets along with entrance schedules and necessary instructions will be Made available in OU websites: http://www.ouadmissions.com / www.osmania.ac.in. The candidates have to download the Hall Tickets and affix a latest passport size photograph (which is exactly similar to the one uploaded in the Online Application) in the space provided with self attestation. Without the Hall Ticket, the candidate is not allowed to appear for entrance test.

Pattern of MBA/MCA Entrance Test

The test consists of 100 questions of one mark each in the following topics.
Section-A: Analytical Ability
1. Data Sufficiency 10
2. Problem Solving 25
Section-B: Mathematical Ability
1. Arithmetical Ability 20
2. Algebraically and Geometrical Ability 15
3. Statistical Ability 5
Section-C: Communication Ability
1. Vocabulary 5
2. Business and Computer Terminology 5
3. Functional Grammar 5
4. Reading Comprehension 10
Total 100
Duration of the test: 1 1/2 Hours (90 minutes)

Syllabus and Information about the test:
The test is designed to measure the candidate’s ability to think systematically, to use the verbal and mathematical skills and to assess his/her aptitude for admission into MBA/MCA programme. The Test emphasizes accuracy. Therefore, the candidate is required to go through the instructions carefully.

The question paper booklet given to the candidate shall consist of 100 multiple choice type questions in three different sections with four responses given to each question, out of which only one response is correct for the given question.

Candidates shall mark the correct answer in Optical Mark Reader (OMR) answer sheet by darkening the appropriate circle with Ball Point Pen only (Blue/ Black). If the Candidate gives more than one answer to any question, such answers will be ignored while awarding marks.
