TS ECET Telangana State Engineering Common Entrance Test
A Common Entrance Test designated in full as Engineering Common Entrance Test for Diploma and for B.Sc.(Mathematics) Degree Candidates in short as TS ECET [FDH & B.Sc. (Mathematics)] – 2024 will be conducted by Osmania University Hyderabad on behalf of the Telangana State Council of Higher Education for the academic year 2024-2025.
** For lateral admission into 2nd year regular B.E/B.Tech Courses in both University and Private Un-aided Professional Institutions (Minority & Non-Minority ) approved by All India Council for Technical Education.
** For lateral admission into 2nd year B. Pharmacy Course in both University and Private Un-aided Professional Institutions (Minority & Non-Minority ) approved by Pharmacy Council of India.

Eligibility Criteria for TS ECET
Candidates should satisfy the following requirements to be eligible for appearing for the TS ECET [FDH & B.Sc. (Mathematics)] – 2024.
i. They should be of Indian Nationality.
ii. They should belong to the State of Telangana / Andhra Pradesh. The candidates should satisfy local / non-local status requirements as laid down in the Andhra Pradesh Educational Institutions (Regulation of Admission) Order, 1974 as subsequently amended. The same is adapted to the State of Telangana G.O.Ms. No. 33 dated 31.12.2014.
iii. They should have obtained a Diploma in Engineering and Technology / Pharmacy from the State Board of Technical Education of Telangana / Andhra Pradesh or any other Diploma recognized by the Government of Telangana / Andhra Pradesh as equivalent there to for admission into the relevant B.E. / B.Tech. / B. Pharmacy Courses corresponding to the Diploma as given in the Instruction Booklet.

They should have passed the 3 – year B.Sc. Degree examination with Mathematics as one of the subjects in the group combination from a recognized University in the Telangana / Andhra Pradesh State or its equivalent for entry into relevant courses as given in the Instruction Booklet.
Eligibility for admission into B.E. / B.Tech. / B.Pharm.:
i. For lateral admission into 2nd year regular B.E. / B.Tech. Courses in both University and Un-Aided Private Professional Institutions (Minority & Non-Minority) approved by All India Council for Technical Education.
ii. For lateral admission into 2nd year regular B. Pharmacy Course in both University and private Un- Aided professional institutions (Minority & Non-Minority) approved by Pharmacy Council of India. Candidates should have appeared and qualified at the TS ECET – 2024.
Mere appearance at the Entrance Test does not automatically entitle a candidate to be considered for entry into any course unless the candidate satisfies the requirement of eligibility and other criteria laid down in the rules of admission.
Admission to 85% of the seats in each course shall be reserved for the local candidates and the remaining 15% of the seats shall be un-reserved as specified in the Andhra Pradesh Educational Institutions (Regulations and Admissions) Order, 1974 as subsequently amended. The same is adapted to the State of Telangana G.O. Ms. No. 33 dated 31.12.2014.
How to Apply for TS ECET?
1) Candidates who wish to apply for TS ECET – 2024 are requested to fill in the particulars carefully in ONLINE mode only. The application filling procedure consists of three steps.

Step 3: Print your Filled in Registration Form
The required information should be collected from the relevant documents as mentioned in User Guide
2) All the candidates should bring print out of their Hall Ticket to the Examination Hall at the time of Entrance Test.
3) The candidates should bring the printout of Registration Form to the Examination Hall with a latest passport size photograph affixed and duly signed by a Gazetted Officer/ Principal of the College where the candidate has studied.
4) Candidates have to select and appear for only one TS ECET – 2024 subject paper. Candidates are advised to select the appropriate TS ECET – 2024 subject paper based on their specialization in Diploma and their interest of taking Admission into a specific Degree course. The list of Diploma courses, List of Tests offered in TS ECET – 2024 and list of Degree courses to seek admission is given in “Instruction Booklet”
5) Candidates are advised to visit the allotted Test Center one day before the date of Examination to avoid any inconvenience to reach Test Center in time on the day of Entrance Test.
6) Candidates are required to report to the Test Center by 07.30AM for the morning session Examination. The candidates have to undergo the registration process at the Test Center which includes taking of photograph, capturing of finger print, thermal screening, sanitization etc.
7) Candidates will not be allowed into the Examination hall after 09.00AM for morning session and will not be permitted to leave the examination hall before 12.00 Noon for morning session.
8) It is the responsibility of the candidate to ensure that he/she is answering the correct Question Paper of the branch for which he/she has applied.
9) The candidate is required to verify his / her Hall Ticket Number, Name, Branch, Photograph etc., displayed on the screen before commencement of the test on the day of Examination.
10) Candidates must handover the Online Application Form to the Invigilator in the Examination Hall on the day of Examination.
11) Question paper will be in English only.
