PU CET UG Entrance Test

PU – CET-2024 (U.G.) For Admission to B.Sc. (Hons.) (4 Years Programme as per NEP-2020) under the framework of Hons. School System and B. Pharmacy. Entrance Test Form for B.Sc. (Hons.) under the framework of Hons. School System (4 Years Programme as per NEP-2020) and B. Pharm. shall be available online on Panjab University website. All candidates seeking admission to the above Course(s) are adviced to follow the website http://cetug.puchd.ac.in for procedure and guidelines for the admission. All updates etc. will also be available on same website. No separate letters will be issued for this purpose.

Eligibility of PU CET

** All those candidates who have passed/appeared in the 10+2 Examination of the Central Board of Secondary Education, New Delhi or its equivalent Examination conducted by a recognized Board/University/Council shall be eligible to appear in the PU – CET (U.G.) Entrance Test – 2024.

** The admission of candidates to the PU – CET (U.G.) Entrance Test shall be provisional. It shall stand cancelled, if they fail to satisfy the requisite eligibility conditions as required by the Panjab University by the date fixed for the purpose.

** The candidates having compartment in 10+2 examination held in March-2024 will not be eligible for admission in the course. The candidates who do not appear in PU – CET (U.G.) Entrance Test or who do not qualify PU – CET (U.G.) Entrance Test shall not be considered for the admission.

NOTE :
** Fee of Entrance Test is non-refundable and non-transferable.
** Online Form once submitted, the candidate shall not be allowed to make any change in it by way of any addition/deletion/alteration/amendment/change under any circumstances.
** Mere login id creation OR deposit of fee does not mean that candidate has completed his/her online form. Incomplete form leads to cancellation of candidature. Any request for completion of form after due date will not be entertained at all.

** Candidates who will avail the concession in fee under the category SC/ST/PwD OR P.U. Class B/C Regular Employee must send the copy of printout of their filled form along with the self attested copy of Category Certificate / Proforma for claiming 50% concession to P.U. Regular Employees (“B” and “C” Class) duly signed by Head/Chairperson, to Assistant Registrar, CET Cell, Aruna Ranjit Chandra Hall, Panjab University, Chandigarh-160014 by registered post/speed post or by hand on or before May 03, 2024 upto 4:00 p.m.

** After declaration of result of Entrance Test, the qualified candidates have to fill the form for admission by login to their accounts.

How to Apply for PU CET?

STEPS TO FOLLOW :
** Register Online. [last date for registration: April 25, 2024 (Thursday)].
** Note down your Login Id and Password (login details will be sent to your registered Email Id also).
** Login to your account to pay fee online. [last date for submission of fee: April 27, 2024 (Saturday)].

** After successful payment, complete your form. Upload scanned passport size photograph, signature, fill other important information and Save and Confirm. (Once you confirm the form, you will not be allowed to change information in the form). [last date for completion of registration form: April 29, 2024 (Monday)]

** Download your Admit Card after May 08, 2024 (Wednesday). (Bring one photo identity proof like Driving License, Voter Card, Aadhaar Card, Passport etc. at the Examination centre failing which the candidate will not be allowed to enter in the Examination Hall.)

Scheme of PU CET

The Test will be conducted in the subjects of (i) Physics, (ii) Chemistry (iii) Biology (iv) Mathematics.
The scheme of the PU – CET (U.G.) Entrance Test is given below:

General Rules For Entrance Test

** The PU – CET (U.G.) Entrance Test will be held at CHANDIGARH, LUDHIANA, MUKTSAR AND HOSHIARPUR on 12-05-2024 (Sunday).
** For every wrong answer, 25% marks allotted to the question will be deducted.
** The syllabi of Entrance Test is as per the CBSE Syllabi for 10+1 and 10+2 for the session 2022-24.
** The candidate will be required to choose a suitable combination of subjects depending on his/her choice of the course(s) and subjects he/she has studied in 10 +2 or its equivalent examination. Combinations are PCB / PCM / M.
** The medium of examination shall be ENGLISH only.
** The candidates shall be required to answer questions on the OMR Answer-Sheet, strictly following all the rules/ norms as stated on the Question Booklet and the Answer-sheet and in Appendix E.

** The candidates shall be required to hand-over both the Question Booklet and OMR Answer-Sheet to the Invigilator when the time allotted to each paper is over. No candidate shall be allowed to leave the examination hall before the expiry of the time allotted for the examination.

** No page/part of the Question paper/OMR Answer-Sheet is to be removed/torn/taken out of the Examination Centre under any circumstances, failing which the candidates shall be straight away disqualified for the entire Entrance Test.
** The use of calculator is not allowed in any subject/paper.
** The University will provide logarithmic table. Borrowing or carrying of log table or other material is not allowed.
** Rough work, if any, is to be done only in the space provided in the question booklet and nowhere else. No rough work shall be done on the OMR Answer-sheet under any circumstances, failing which the same shall be cancelled.
** 20 minutes extra will be given to the visually handicapped/ Person with Disability (PwD) for each paper.
