Eligibility Criteria :
** Masters Degree in the concerned subject from a recognized university with minimum 55% marks.

** B+ grade at Master’s Degree (SC/ST and physically challenged/disabled candidates will get 5% relaxation in Post-Graduation marks).

** Candidates who have appeared in the qualifying examination but their results are still awaited, can appear in the entrance test but they will have to submit the original certificates of the qualifying examination before the commencement of the course work, otherwise their admission will be cancelled.

Registration for Test Starts w.e.f: 18th May, 2015
Last Date for Filling Applications Form: 6th June, 2015
Last Date for Filling Applications Form with late fee of Rs. 2000/-. : 10th June, 2015.
On the spot Registration for Entrance Test, with late fee of Rs. 5000/- .
Date of Entrance Test: 14th June, 2015.(Sunday)
Duration of Test: 11:00 A.M. – 1:00 P.M. Reporting time is 9:30 AM
The Schedule for Personal Interview will be intimated on the day of entrance test. The candidates are required to get the schedule on the day of entrance test from the office of Dean (Research).

The result of entrance test will be declared after the conduct of interviews.

The schedule of commencement of course work classes will be notified at the time of declaration of the result of the entrance test.

All the relevant information regarding the entrance test will be available on the University Website deshbhagatuniversity.in. The candidates are advised to visit the University Website for regular updates.

The Entrance Test Fee of Rs. 3000/- (Rs.2500/- Test Fee + Rs 500/- Form Fee) should be deposited as per the details given below. Candidates are requested to show original fee slip at the time of entrance test.

EXEMPTION FROM THE ENTRANCE TEST :
** Candidates who have qualified UGC-NET/CSIR (JRF) Examination/SLET/GATE or are Teacher fellowship holders or DST (INSPIRE/ICMR/any other National Agency Fellow or have Ph.D. Degree in any other subject from a recognized University, are exempted from appearing in the entrance test.

** The selection of these candidates will be based on their performance in the interview as well as on their overall academic merit.

** Candidates who have obtained M.Phil. degree with minimum B+ grade or equivalent from Desh Bhagat University, Mandi Gobindgarh or any other recognized University as a regular student and whose admission at the M.Phil level has been through an entrance test, are exempted from appearing in the entrance test for Ph.D. Programme.

** The candidates seeking exemption from entrance test can apply for the same by filling up the application form for exemption.

** The form can be obtained from the office of Dean Research with a payment of Rs. 500.

** The candidates applying for exemption are required to submit the filled form along with self attested copies of all the certificates to the Dean Research latest by 5th June, 2015.

** The applications for exemption will be securitized and the list of exempted students will be displayed on the University Website by 10th June, 2015.

** These candidates are required to attend the interview as per the schedule displayed on the website after the declaration of the result.
