SELECTION OF STUDENTS: Selection of students shall be made based on the following:
1. Merit in the Entrance Examination
2. Rule of reservation
3. Reservation under Special category
4. In case of tie among the candidates with same marks in the entrance test, the order of the merit will be decided as follows:
5. For Course code 3 and Course code 4 combined ranking will be given and selection will be based on entrance merit.

The higher marks secured by the candidate-
Course Code 1 – in History,Economics,Civics,
Course Code 2 – in Commerce I, Commerce II, Economics
Course Code 3 – in Mathematics, Economics, Commerce I
Course Code 4 in Maths, Physics, Chemistry
Course Code 5- In Botany, Zoology, Chemistry

i. If still the tie persists, it will be decided by taking advanced age as criteria.

ii. If still the tie persists, it will be decided taking the gender i.e. woman shall be given a higher rank

iii. If still the tie persists, candidates belonging to the following communities (in that order) shall be given a higher rank:
a) ST
b) SC
c) BC (A)
d) BC (B)
e) BC (C)
f) BC (D)
g) BC (E) and
h) OC

Reservation of Seats:
a) The reservation of seats will be as per Govt. orders issued from time to time.
c) 33% seats in each course are ensured to women candidates at Silver Jubilee Government College (A), Kurnool.

Reservation of Seats for Special Categories:
Certificate of evidence from competent authority for a) NCC b) Games & Sports c) Physically Handicapped d) Ex-servicemen in the case of admission under these categories.
a) For NCC – Senior Division ‘B’ Certificate.
b) For sports quota – District and above level participation certificate.
c) For PHC quota – Medical Certificate issued by a Medical Officer not below the rank of Civil Surgeon. Minimum disability 40%.
d) Children of Armed Personnel Quota – relevant certificate from the competent authority.

Allotment of Seats:
The seats available in the colleges are allotted in the ratio of 42:36:22 to the areas of erstwhile Andhra University,
erstwhile Osmania University and erstwhile Sri Venkateswara University respectively as noted below:

1. The Districts of erstwhile Andhra University area are:

2. The Districts erstwhile Osmania University area are:
1. Nalgonda 2. Khammam 3. Warangal 4. Karimnagar 5. Nizamabad 6. Mahaboob Nagar 7. Medak 8. Adilabad 9. Rangareddy 10. Hyderabad

3. The Districts erstwhile Sri Venkateswara University area are:
