GCET-2015 :
ADMISSIONS TO PROFESSIONAL DEGREE COURSES 2015-16
From year 2015-16, admissions to Allied Health Science Courses (AHS) at Goa Medical College, Bambolim viz., B.P.T.(Bachelor of Physiotherapy, B.O.T. (Bachelor of Occupational therapy), B.Opt. (Bachelor of Optometry), B.Sc.M.I.T(B.Sc. in Medical Imaging Technology), B.Sc.A.T.(B.Sc. in Anaesthesia Technology) and B.Sc. Course in Nursing at Institute of Nursing Education, Bambolim would be based on GCET-2015 (Goa Common Entrance Test).

Eligibility Criteria :
a) Admissions to Allied Health Science Courses at Goa Medical College, Bambolim:
Applicant should have passed the Higher Secondary Certificate (Std. XII) examination of Goa Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education or its equivalent examination with English and secured not less than 50% marks in the aggregate of subjects of Physics, Chemistry, and Biology taken together. (40% for the applicants belonging to SC, ST and OBC only and 45% for applicants belonging to PH category).

b) Admissions to B.Sc. Course in Nursing at Institute of Nursing Education, Bambolim:
Passed HSSC with minimum 50% aggregate marks, as well as 50% aggregate marks in English, Physics, Chemistry, Biology for General Category, (45% aggregate marks in all subjects for candidates belonging to SC/ST category, as well as 50% aggregate marks in English, Physics, Chemistry, Biology).

Preparation of Merit Lists:
For admissions to Allied Health Science Courses at Goa Medical College, Bambolim & B.Sc. Course in Nursing at Institute of Nursing Education, Bambolim, merit lists would be prepared based on GCET-2015 scores, as stated below:
1. The merit list shall be based on aggregate marks of GCET–2015 in the subjects of Physics, Chemistry and Biology.
2. In case the above marks of two or more applicants are equal, applicant with more marks in Biology shall be placed higher in the merit list.
3. In case the marks in Biology are also equal, applicant with more marks in Chemistry will be placed higher in the merit list.
4. If all the above are also equal, then the applicant with earlier date of birth will be placed higher in the order of merit.

Intending applicants for admissions to Allied Health Science Courses at Goa Medical College, Bambolim & B.Sc. Course in Nursing at Institute of Nursing Education, Bambolim, may note that they need to appear at GCET-2015(Goa Common Entrance Test).

Accordingly Common Prospectus, containing relevant details pertaining to admissions to First Year of Professional Degree Courses ( MBBS,BDS,BHMS, B.E., B.Pharm, B.Arch., AHS & B.Sc.Nursing) in the State of Goa, for the year 2015-16, including GCET-2015 (Goa Common Entrance Test), to be conducted on 5th & 6th May, 2015 shall be uploaded on the website of this Directorate dtegoa.gov.in., by 31st January 2015.
