ALL INDIA COMMON ENTRANCE EXAMINATION FOR CRAFT INSTRUCTOR TRAINING COURSES – SEMESTER PATTERN SESSION AUGUST’ 2015

Online application are invited from candidates interested to appear in All India Common Entrance Test (AICET) for Craft Instructor Training Course

Date of registration of application to appear for Common Entrance Examination From 27th May, 2015 to 26th June, 2015 ( Last date for registration– 26.6.2015 at 5PM)

Date of the All India Common Entrance Test : 12th July, 2015

Number of Examination Centres : 25 – as above Sl. No. 1 to 25. (except Private ITOT s and new RVTIs mentioned at Sl. No.26 to 42)

Eligibility qualification:
NTC/NAC (NCVT certificate in relevant trade) or Diploma / Degree from recognized Board of Technical Education / University or equivalent.

The candidates undergoing training under Craftsmen Training Scheme who are going to appear in All India Trade Test(AITT) during July’ 2015, may also be considered for appearing in the AICET but their final admission in CITS courses will be subjected to successful completion of their training before completion of the final counseling.

Age : No upper limit

Entrance Examination Fee :
Rs. 300/- for General
Rs. 100/- for SC / ST candidates

General Information :
Training of Craft Instructors is the responsibility of Ministry of Skill Development & Entrepreneurship (formerly under DGE&T, Ministry of Labour & Employment). It is a basic requirement for recruitments of instructors in NCVT affiliated ITIs. Under the programme, Instructors from Government and Private ITIs, Centres established by industries under the Apprentices Act, and private candidates having CTS/NAC/Diploma/Degree qualifications are provided training in 34 trades. Total seating capacity for Craft Instructor Training Courses is 11,052.

Instructions to the candidates:
1. The link for online application will be available at :

2. The hall ticket format can be down loaded from the websites after 26.6.2015 (date will be informed in time).
3. The candidates are advised to visit the websites from time to time for latest information/ instructions relating to entrance test.

4. The question paper for the entrance test would be comprising of following pattern:
a) 75% questions of objective type (multiple choice type ) of ITI level related to the trade applied for admission.
b) 25% questions of objective type pertaining to Aptitude (Logical, Numeric and Reasoning)

5. The candidate can select any entrance examination centre (out of 25 centres mentioned at page-1) as per his/her convenience and indicate his /her preferences.
6. The allotment of institute will be finalized during counseling solely on the basis of merit (marks secured in the AICET)

7. For the candidates seeking admission in Private ITOTs located in State of Punjab, Haryana and Himachal Pradesh, the nearest entrance examination centre will be ATI, Ludhiana.
8. For the candidates seeking admission in ITOTs located in Uttar Pradesh, the nearest entrance examination centre will be ATI, Kanpur.
9. For the candidates seeking admission in private ITOTs located in Orissa the nearest entrance examination centre will be ATI,Choudwar.

10. For the candidates seeking admission in new RVTI at Mohali, the nearest entrance examination centre will be at RVTI, Panipat.
11. For the candidates seeking admission in new RVTI at Shimla, the nearest entrance examination centre will be at RVTI, Panipat.
12. For the candidates seeking admission in new RVTI at Patna, the nearest entrance examination centre will be at RVTI, Allahabad.
13. For the candidates seeking admission in new RVTI at Agartala, the nearest entrance examination centre will be at RVTI, Kolkata.
14. For the candidates seeking admission in new RVTI at Tiruchirrapally, the nearest entrance examination centre will be at CTI, Chennai.
