2. Under powers vested in it under Section 5, sub section (xxvii) and (xxxiii) of the Indian Maritime University Act, 2008 read with Chapter VII of Ordinances Governing Academic Matters as published in the Gazette of India Extraordinary on 12th May 2009, the IMU has made passing the Common Entrance Test (CET) conducted by it as one of the essential eligibility criteria for admission, along with criteria relating to age, marks in Plus Two exams, medical fitness, etc. as per IMU’s norms. Affiliated Institutes should not make any admissions of students (including sponsored /management candidates) unless they have qualified in the CET February 2015 and if any such candidate is admitted , he will not be given admission registration number nor will he be allowed to appear in any of the scheduled examinations of the IMU. Candidates are also advised not to join any Affiliated Institutes unless their name figures in this list of CET – qualified candidates.
Note:
1. Admission to DNS February 2015 batch is subject to the candidate fulfilling the eligibility criteria with regard to age, educational qualification, medical fitness etc, as per IMU norms.
2. The fact that a candidate is qualified in the CET does not mean that he has fulfilled all the eligibility norms for admission to DNS Feb 2015 Batch. His eligibility will be decided based on the verification of original certificates at the time of Admission.
3. The admission of the candidate is also subject to verification by IMU of the genuineness of the sponsorship letter produced by his Affiliated Institute.
