PGET 2015 :
Guidelines For Scanning The Photograph And Signature :
Before applying online, a candidate will be required to have a scanned (digital) image of his/ her photograph and signature as per the specifications given below.

Your online application will not be registered unless you upload your photograph and signature as specified.

Photograph and signature Imaging :
** Photograph must be a recent passport size colour picture.

** Make sure that the picture is in colour, taken against a light-coloured, preferably white, background.

** Paste the photograph on a piece of white paper. The applicant has to sign below the photograph on the white paper with Black Ink pen.

** Scan the white paper with sign and photograph.

** Crop the image in the scanner to the edge of the photograph and signature, then use the upload editor to crop the image to the final size max. 20kb.

** Ensure that the size of the scanned image is not more than 20KB. If the size of the file is more than 20 KB, then adjust the settings of the scanner such as the DPI resolution, no. of colours etc., during the process of scanning.

** The image file should be JPG or JPEG format. An example file is given below for reference.

** Candidates using MSWindows/ MSOffice can easily obtain photo and signature in .jpeg format not exceeding 50kb and 20kb respectively by using MSPaint or MSOffice Picture Manager. Scanned photograph and signature in any format can be saved in .jpg format by using ‘Save As’ option in the File menu and size can be reduced below 20kbby using crop and then resize option.Similar options are available in other photo editor also.

** If the file size and format are not as prescribed, an error message will be displayed.

Procedure for Uploading the Photograph and Signature :
** Click on the browse button given below the upload photo image on the application form page.

** Browse and Select the location where the Scanned Photograph and Signature file has been saved.

** Select the file by clicking on it.

** Click the ‘I Accept the Terms & Conditions’ button at the bottom of the page to upload the scanned signed photo.

** Again doing the steps 1 to 4 will erase the previous file uploaded.

** Photo and sign cannot be uploaded once application form is finally submitted after uploading documents and printing of application form.

** Please submit photo copy of required documents (marksheet of relevant qualifying degree/ GATE/ GPAT Score Card, Reservation Category Certificate, Physically Handicapped Certificate) along with printed filled in application form and requisite demand draft to MAKAUT, WB campus. There is no need to scan and upload them.

** Reserved Category Candidates should submit certificate from concerned authority along with application form. Certificate issued by authority after this will not be accepted. In that case candidate will be treated as General Candidate.

** Candidates wishing to apply for multiple courses can choose a paper which is available for one such course. You will be eligible for all the courses which are having your relevant qualifying degree as the requirement.

** Candidates having B.Tech in Automobile Engineering can apply for Mechanical Engineering since Automobile Engg is equivalent to ME, PE etc.

** The new seat matrix will be uploaded as soon as they are made available by the IC.

** The previous year’s seat matrix has been currently given.
