MUHS-Ph.D. Entrance Test (PET) – 2015 :
The Maharashtra University of Health Sciences, Nashik invites the applications for the Ph.D. Entrance Test in the concerned subject of research under the Faculty of Medicine, Dentistry, Ayurved & Unani, Homoeopathy and Allied Health Sciences (Nursing, Physiotherapy, Occupational Therapy) and Interdisciplinary. Facultywise, Centrewise and Subjectwise available seats for Ph.D. Registration for the Academic Year 2015-2016.

2 Last date for Submission of application form 30/09/2015, Wednesday till 05:00 p.m.

Eligibility:
As per Clause No.12 of University Direction No.04/2015 the Ph.D Scholar willing to register for Ph.D. Degree course:
a) Candidate shall have Post Graduate Qualification in the concerned subject of Health Sciences or in the prescribed allied subject. Annexure – II

b) The Ph.D. Scholar (s) having Post Graduate Diploma in schedule II of the respective Central Councils and / D.N.B. qualification shall also be considered eligible only, if such candidate has published minimum two Research Papers in National / International Journal(s).

ii) In case the Ph.D. Scholar possesses Post Graduate degree from foreign University, he shall have to submit equivalence of Indian Post Graduate degree from competent authority.

Application FORM :
I. The applicants must have to apply in the prescribed format as per Annexure-III on or before in due course of time and alongwith the prescribed application fees.

II. The admission of the candidates for Ph.D. Degree shall be on the basis of Merit of entrance test conducted by the University (Ph.D. Entrance Test – PET) and at College level Counselling. The In-service candidates applying for full-time / part-time Ph.D. programs shall have to submit “No Objection Certificate” from their employer in the prescribed format Annexure IV and Annexure V. The decision regarding Part time candidates will be decided in the due course of time as per the guidelines / rules of concerned Competent Authorities, if any ;

Application FEES:
Non refundable fees of Rs. 2,000/- for Open Category and Rs.1500/- for Reserved Category, should be paid alongwith application form by Demand Draft (DD) in favour of „The Registrar, M.U.H.S. Nashik?. DD should be drawn on any Branch of Nationalized Bank payable at Nashik.

Submission of Application form:-
I. Duly filled application form has to be submitted by hand or by post on or before in due course of time addressed to “The Registrar, Maharashtra University of Health Sciences, Vani Road, Mhasrul, Nashik – 422004”.

Note: Application submitted through fax or e-mail will not be accepted and considered. Postal delay cannot be considered/condoned under any circumstances.

II. In-service candidates should route their application through the respective Head of the Department and Head of the Institute/Dean/Principal. In-service candidates should submit No Objection Certificate as per Annexure-VI of their respective HOD.

III. The application must be complete in all respects and it should be accompanied with all the required documents and DD of prescribed fees as above.

IV. The Qualified and Eligible Teacher candidate and all other In-Service Non-Teaching candidates shall have to apply through proper channel as per rules. Note: Incomplete applications will not be entertained and no correspondence will be made in this respect under any circumstances.

Method of Selection:
I. After declaration of result of the Entrance Test, the qualified candidates may apply in the prescribed format as per Annexure-VII to the Head of the College/Recognized Institute for further admission procedure. He / she may apply to one, more or all available centres as per his / her convenience and choice. One copy of the application shall be sent to the University for Information and record. The Head of the College/Recognized Institute shall appoint a scrutiny and admission committee to conduct the admission procedure.

II. As per Counselling / Interview Programme published by the University, the desirous candidate shall be present for Personal Counselling / Interview before Admission Committee on the particular place of research at their own cost.

III. It shall be the responsibility of the Chairman of the admission committee, to conduct the Counselling / Interview procedure as per rules and in a fair manner. The rules regarding reservation for admission shall be observed by him/her.

IV. Under this personal Counselling / Interview procedure the committee shall judge the ideas and interest area of the candidate and his / her suitability with particular Guide.

V. At the end of the Counselling / Interview round, the Chairman of Admission Committee, along with signatures of all members shall display the list of selected candidates on the Notice-Board and also send the copy of the same to the University by fax and speed post & by e-mail on the same day or by special messenger.

VI. It shall be lawful, for Admission Committee, to prepare and publish subjectwise and guidewise waiting list for that particular recognized place of work.

VII. The selected candidate shall join concerned College/Recognised Institute and take the admission for Ph.D. course as per clause 16 (iv) of Direction 04/2015.If the selected candidate is unable to join within stipulated period due to any reason, the next candidate in waiting list may be selected/called for admission by the Head of the College/ Recognised Institute.

VIII. At the time of admission, the selected candidate shall pay the prescribed fees for admission and shall complete the other procedures related to his\her admission.

IX. The Head of College/Recognised Institute shall submit the subjectwise, guidewise list of the joined candidates to the University by fax, speed post & by e-mail on the same day or by special messenger as per clause 16 (iv), (v), (vi), (vii), (viii), (ix), (x) of the University Direction No.04/2015.
