MSIT Admission Entrance Test :

The following are the important dates for the 2016 admissions:
Walk-In Entrance starts on 14th April 2016

Note:
The candidates can take Entrance Test on any Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday every week from 14th April 2016 to 21st May 2016 including May 16, 17, 18, 2016.

What are the learning Centers for 2016?
The Learning Centers for the academic year 2016 are :
** College of Engineering, Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University, Kakinada, (50 Seats)
** College of Engineering, Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University, Anatapur, (50 Seats)
** MSIT division, International Institute of Information Technology, Hyderabad (160 Seats)
** School of IT, Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University, Kukatpally, Hyderabad (140 Seats)

How Do I directly apply for stage II?
If you have acceptable GRE and TOEFL/IELTS scores, you can mention your scores and apply online. You would be sent a hall ticket for Counselling in the Second Stage.

How is the entrance test conducted?
The entrance test consists of two stages:
Stage I
2-yr MSIT Graduate Aptitude Test (GAT) These are computer based tests.
Stage II
1· Listening Comprehension Test Exemption for students with qualifying TOEFL score
2· Interview MSIT
Candidates qualifying in Stage II will enter the Preparatory programme for 5 weeks. Only those candidates successfully completing the Preparatory programme will move into the 2 year MSIT programme.

Who can Take Walkin Entrance?
B.Tech / B.E (All branches)

How many times can I take the Walk-in test ?
Walk-in entrance test can be taken maximum two times, but a time gap of one week should be there between any two successive attempts.

Can I take both walkin and General Entrance Tests ?
Yes. You can apply online for General Entrance Test(i.e. GAT) and also can take walkin.

Would the best score be considered for counseling?
Yes.

Who will award the degree?
The degree is awarded by the university where the learning center is located.

Is the course approved by universities/AICTE?
Yes. The MSIT degree is issued by an university, and is recognized by them.

Do I have a choice regarding the campus at which I will pursue the program or you will allot it?
You would be given a rank prior to the counseling. You can choose the seat depend on the availability of seats in that center during the counseling.

Is it possible to get teaching assistantships/Internships?
Yes. The TA and internships would be offered in the second year based on the performance of the student in the first year.

Does MSIT have hostel facility?
Hostel facility depends on the learning center offering this course.

Does MSIT provide support for obtaining bank loans?
Yes. We do help students to obtain bank loans by providing required documents for loan processing.

Is there any minimum percentage required for admissions?
No. However, they have to pass in the qualifying examination.

Are there any placements after completion of the course?
Yes. Placements will be taken care of by the placement cell in the Learning Center. As placements will be provided for other courses, so also for this course. Along with this, CIHL also has a seperate placement cell, which allows only MSIT students in all the learning centers to participate. Actual employment depends on student’s performance

How to Apply :

The candidate can apply for either of the tests or both as mentioned below :

Walk-in Entrance test :
Apply at Eduquity Career Technologies PVT LTD,

Ph: 040-23243010 with a non-refundable crossed Demand Draft (DD) of Rs. 700/- from a nationalised bank drawn in favour of ‘CIHL’, payable at Hyderabad. If the candidate is satisfied with scores which he/she got through Walk-in Entrance then he/she can take regular entrance test which will be conducted from 22-05-2016, he/she needs to apply online (should take another DD for Rs. 700/-) .
However the best of the scores would be considered for final ranking.

The walk-in entrance will be conducted from 14th April 2016 on Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday every week upto 21st May 2016.

Regular Entrance test:
** The regular entrance test will be conducted from 22nd May 2016 onwards.
** Candidates applying for this test have to submit the Application in either of the following two modes.

1. After applying online, send a nonrefundable crossed D.D of Rs. 700, drawn in favor of “CIHL”, on any scheduled bank payable at Hyderabad by speed post only to the address given below.

2. By sending filled Printed / Downloaded applications accompanied by a non refundable crossed DD for Rs 700/- drawn in favour of “CIHL”, on any scheduled bank payable at Hyderabad by speed post only to the address given below.

Entrance Test Waived :
For candidates with GRE scores above 275 / 2.5 or equivalent old scores also considered. (GRE should have been taken after July 2013).
Those candidates with TOEFL score above 79/120 (IBT) or IELTS Score above 6.0 and would be exempted from taking the Listening Comprehension test in the stage II of the entrance test. (TOEFL should have been taken after July 2014).
Last date for submission of completed application forms is 16th May 2016.
