CEE Mode of Examination :

(1) All the Applications in Form – A shall be scrutinized by the Examination Conducting Authority and Admit Card shall be issued.

No individual communication shall be made to those whose applications are rejected, for being incomplete or not fulfilling the eligibility criteria. However, the list of such candidates shall be available in the office of the Examination Conducting Authority or in their website.

(2) (a) The Examination Conducting Authority shall set the question papers, fix the centers and shall take all other measures as may be necessary to conduct the Common Entrance Examination;

(b) the Common Entrance Examination shall consist of three written papers, viz. Physics, Chemistry and Biology on the basis of the syllabus of the Higher Secondary School Leaving Certificate Examination (Science Stream) conducted by the Assam Higher Secondary Education Council;

(c) each paper of Physics, Chemistry and Biology shall be of 100 marks(in case of Biology-Botany 50 marks, Zoology 50 marks). The duration of examination for each paper is of 2 hours. There shall be 100 numbers of multiple choice questions carrying 1 mark for each question in each paper. There shall be no negative marking for wrong answers. There shall be no marks in case the candidate selects more than one option in the answer sheet. ption once marked can not be changed and eraser can not be used;

(3) The medium of examination shall be the same as adopted by the Assam Higher Secondary Education Council.

(4) The Examination Conducting Authority shall arrange for evaluation of answer sheets of each candidate and prepare thereafter, a merit list based on the total marks obtained by each candidate in all the subjects. The marks obtained by each candidate in each subject shall also be shown in the said list. Each page of the merit list shall be duly authenticated by the authority concerned.

If two or more candidates secure the same marks in the Common Entrance Examination, the inter se merit of such candidates shall be determined in order of preference as follows:
(i) Candidates securing more marks in Biology in Common Entrance Examination.
(ii) Candidates securing more marks in Chemistry in Common Entrance Examination.
(iii) If it further tallies then marks obtained in Biology of qualifying examination shall be considered at the time of counselling.
(iv) If it further tallies then marks obtained in Chemistry of qualifying examination shall be considered at the time of counselling.
(v) If it further tallies then marks obtained in Physics of qualifying examination shall be considered at the time of counselling.

(5) The merit list so prepared shall be sent to the Director of Medical Education, Assam by the Examination Conducting Authority.

(6) The information regarding the finalization of the evaluation shall be declared through the website of the Examination Conducting Authority. The candidate may obtain his/her result through the said website.
