ACET :

Institute of Actuaries of India had started conducting its Entrance Exam which is ACET from January 2012. There is a change in the structure of ACET examination from June 2016 exam diet.

Eligibility Criteria:
Students who have appeared or have passed the 10+2 examination or an equivalent examination with English as one of the subjects at 10+2 level at the time of registering for ACET.

Earlier the structure of examination was:
1. ACET was a 2 hour, 100 marks online exam which had 55 multiple choice questions with one correct answer for each question

2. The distributions of questions were:
a. 25 questions – 1 mark each
b. 25 questions – 2 marks each
c. 05 questions – 5 marks each

3. After successful registration, students were able to download the study material for the examination.
4. ACET consisted of Questions on Mathematics and Statistics
5. ACET was earlier conducted in 51 exam centres in India
6. ACET was earlier conducted on two consequent days with four exam slots on each day

The New structure of Examinations is:
1. ACET is a 3 hour, 100 marks online exam which has 70 multiple choice questions with one correct answer for each question
2. The distribution of questions will be:
a. 45 questions – 1 mark each
b. 20 questions – 2 marks each
c. 05 questions – 3 marks each
3. After successful registration, students will be able to download the sample question paper for the examination. However, the names of the reference books will be provided to the students.
4. The syllabus will include the questions for :
Section-I Mathematics, Statistics and Data Interpretation having 55% of weightage and Section-II English and Logical Reasoning having 45% of weightage.
5. ACET will now be conducted in 27 exam centres in India.
6. ACET will be conducted in a single day with one slot.

Below is the procedure for the Online Registration of ACET:
1) Go to IAI website and signup at actuariesindia.org.in/subMenu.aspx?id=4&val=ACET.

2) It is mandatory to upload your passport size photograph as per the mentioned specification. You will receive a confirmation email in case of your uploaded photograph is up to the mark else you will be receiving a rejection email asking you to re-upload.

3) Select the Examination centre which you wish to appear from the drop down list. Change of Centre is not applicable.

4) On filling up the Online Registration Form, you will receive a confirmation mail at your registered email id giving you the link to proceed further by giving other details, uploading your photograph and making payment of registration fees by Debit or Credit Card or Internet Banking.

Note: In case you do not receive the confirmation email, kindly get in touch with us at acet[at]actuariesindia.org or call at 022-67843304.

5) After successful registration, you will be able to download the Welcome Kit from your login download tab using the same id and password you had used for online ACET registration.

6) You will also receive an e-mail at your registered e-mail address confirming your registration and successful payment. (Inform us immediately, at acet@actuariesindia.org or call at 022-67843304 in case, you do not receive it).

7) All correspondence will be and has to be done through your registered email id.
8) After booking of ACET Exam you have to print your Hall Ticket and carry it to the exam centre, without which, you will not be able to appear for the exam.

  1. When will ACET OCTOBER 2016 Hall Ticket be available?

  2. Please guide on how to study for ACET and from which books since there are many reference books provided, but something more streamlined is required for that. Also please, if possible show some way to assess previous question papers as I have absolutely no way of preparing then. Please help.

  4. I had successfully registered with ACET but how do I get the hall ticket? Whenever I login it shows me the same page. Where I can download the study material? The hall tickets shall be distributed today upon login.

      ACET MAY 2016 Exam Hall ticket will be available in your login from 10th May 2016 onwards.
