DET-2015 :
Instructions for Applying Online for all Diploma Courses :
The mode of applying, basis of admission and mode of entrance test for Diploma Courses is given below:
Diploma (Engg.) including TFW, MAR and SDB categories. Online Inter-se-merit/rank of DET-2015 In paper pencil mode
HGST and KM Category in Diploma (Engg.) Online Inter-se-merit/rank of %age of qualifying exam. No Entrance Test
Diploma (Engg.) Lateral Entry including TFW category. Online Inter-se-merit/rank of DET(L)-2015 Online Entrance Test Through Computer
Diploma (Pharmacy) including MAR category. Online Inter-se-merit/rank of %age of qualifying exam. No Entrance Test

Note:
For Diploma (Pharmacy) including MAR Category, HGST, KM, TFW, MAR & SDB categories in Diploma (Engg.) and TFW Category in Diploma (Engg.) Lateral Entry, the candidate shall also take the print out of online filled application form and deposit the same along with the attested copy of relevant documents and proof of entrance test fee/ application fee deposited at nearby collection center or HSTES, Panchkula before the closing date as per procedure mentioned in Chapter-3 and also mentioned in print out of online filled application form. The list of collection centers is given in Appendix-II.

Instructions for applying online for all Diploma Courses :
1. To help and guide the candidates in Filling On-Line Application Forms for all Diploma Courses few institutions have been selected as designated centre/ collection center. Candidates can apply free of cost from any of the nearby designated center/ collection center on all working days on or before the closing date as mentioned in “Key Dates” given in Appendix-I.
2. Applications for DET, DET-L, all categories of Diploma (Engg.) & Diploma (Engg.) Lateral Entry and Diploma Pharmacy including MAR category shall be invited online at onlinetesthry.gov.in i.e. the candidates have to fill the particulars online and also upload their coloured photograph (JPG File Max. 50KB Size) and signature (JPG File Max. 50KB Size).
3. The particulars of the candidate in the application form must exactly be the same as registered in the qualifying examination. In case the candidate has submitted the incorrect information, the candidate is required to resubmit a fresh online application form and the fee should also be deposited against the fresh application form.
4. The Entrance Test Fee or Application Fee whichever is applicable for the purpose shall be deposited by the candidate through E-challan generated during filling of the online application form. The applicable fee shall be accepted on next working day of generation of the e-challan by any branch of the following banks:
I. Axis Bank
II. Punjab National Bank
The Entrance Test Fee or Application Fee once paid will not be refunded (full or partial) under any circumstances.
5. The candidate should apply before closing date. The candidates are advised to clearly opt the course i.e. Diploma (Engg.) / Diploma (Engg.) Lateral Entry/ Diploma (Pharmacy) & category i.e. TFW/ KM/ HGST/ MAR/ SDB and to note down the unique application number which will be generated as the candidate submits online application form. The unique application number will be required for future communication. The candidate should keep a copy of application form and Fee Deposition Slip/ E-challan for his/ her record.

Instructions for DET-2015 and DET (L)-2015 :
For DET-2015:
1. For the session 2015-16, Diploma Entrance Test (DET) shall be conducted off-line i.e. paper pencil mode.
2. Question Paper: There will be a composite Question Paper of One hour and 40 minute duration consisting of 100 objective type multiple choice questions of 1 mark each having equal distribution of English, Aptitude and General Awareness Test, Mathematics, Science. Sample Questions are given in Annexure-XXII.
3. Question Booklet will be both in English and Hindi with multiple-choice questions.
4. Answers are to be marked on the OMR Seat
5. The candidate will mark answers in circles against respective question number provided in the OMR.
6. Answer marked in more than one circle shall not be awarded any mark.
7. THERE WILL BE NO NEGATIVE MARKING FOR THE WRONG ANSWER

For On-Line DET (L)-2015:
1. The admit card for appearing in DET (L)-2015 shall be available online only at onlinetesthry.gov.in or hstes.in or hstes.org as per “Key Dates” given in Appendix-I. No candidate shall be allowed to appear in the entrance test without admit card. HSTES shall not issue or POST any admit card to any registered candidate for DET (L)-2015. Admit card of the candidate who will not deposit Entrance Test Fee by the last date of fee deposit, shall not be generated.
2. The candidate must bring two printed copies of admit card with photographs attested by gazetted officer and one valid Identity(ID) proof having his photograph on it for verification by invigilator in the Test Centre. Further the Candidates are also required to bring along with them the proof in respect of their date of birth etc. for verification before appearing in the entrance test. (Copy/attested copy of Matriculation Certificate). The admit cards must be signed by the invigilator on duty and one of the admit cards must be retained by the candidate himself.
3. All candidates are advised to be conversant with the handling of keyboard and mouse.
4. Candidates are required to report at the allotted centre of Online Entrance Test 30 minutes before the start of test on the same date/shift. The candidate will be allowed to appear in the Entrance Examination provisionally, subject to fulfilling the prescribed eligibility conditions/criteria given in the Admission Brochure.
5. Test will be of 100 minutes duration, at the end of the test every candidate will come to know the number of questions attempted and scored marks on-line after the completion of Entrance Test. 15 Minutes (extra) will be given to the candidates for filling up the data during Entrance Test.
6. Questions will be displayed on the computer (screen) allotted to the candidate during test. The candidate may take the help of invigilator in case of any problem regarding acquaintance of system/ computer allotted to him.
7. Use of books, papers, slide rules, log tables, cellular phones, calculators, pagers, digital diaries etc. will not be allowed in the Examination Hall.
8. If any candidate is found guilty of using unfair means, he/ she will be liable to be punished by the competent authority including cancellation of his/ her candidature.
9. After the completion of Online Entrance Test, the proper inter se merit and ranks shall be displayed on onlinetesthry.gov.in, hstes.in and hstes.org as per the schedule mentioned in “Key Dates”.
10. NIC shall conduct Mock Test pertaining to OLET (LEET))-2015 on the website onlinetesthry.gov.in. The candidates appearing in DET (L)-2015 are advised in their own interest to attempt this Mock Test.
