Eligibility criteria for admission to 2nd year in Polytechnics under Lateral Entry Scheme :
The candidate must have 12th Science or / 12th Science with Vocational or / 12th Science with Technical or / Xth +(2years ITI/COE) with appropriate specialization as per AICTE Norms
a) In case a candidate has appeared/appearing in 12th Science or/with vocational or/12th Science with Technical examination in March,2015 can appear in LEET subject to the condition that his/her eligibility shall be verified at the time of counseling by the Central Admission Selection Committee. Admission will be granted only after the candidate fulfill all the eligibility conditions.

Instructions For Online Application :
i) Visit the Board website hptechboard.com (for online application form).
ii) You will reach the homepage of H.P.Takniki Shiksha Board online admissions.
iii) Click on apply online.
iv) You will asked to select Admission Program.
v) Click on the button for which you wish to apply LEET(Lateral Entry Entrance Test ).
vi) You will be re-directed to the Application form.
vii) Please provide all the details as required in the application form. Fields marked ‘*’ are mandatory and must be filled to submit the form successfully.
viii) Read all the instructions carefully before filling the form.
ix) Refer section ‘Fields in Form’ below to know what is to be filled under each field.
x) Applicant’s name and Father’s name should be as per Class 10th Certificate
xi) Please provide correct information for Category and Sub-Category. Please read the Prospectus carefully for eligibility conditions based on Category & Sub-Category.
xii) In case you are non-Himachali, all sub-categories would be disabled and are not needed to be filled.
xiii) Once you have completely filled the form, read the Terms & Conditions carefully. It is mandatory to accept terms & conditions to submit the form. Click on the checkbox to accept the terms and conditions.
xiv) Once form is filled and terms & conditions are accepted, click on ‘Submit’ button at the end of the form.
xv) On submitting the form, a Temporary Id and Login ID will be issued. Please note this number for future reference.
xvi) You will also receive an e-mail and SMS, on your login ID and password. Through this you can login anytime
and check the application status.
xvii) Once you have got the temporary ID, you will reach the second step of making the payment.
xviii) Payment can be made through Bank Challan.
xix) Generate the Bank Challan by clicking on button at bottom of screen ‘Generate Challan’. Save as pdf file on your desktop and take print out.
xx) Visit your nearest Bank to make the payment through this Bank Challan. You will receive a transaction number in case you make the payment in UCO Bank. You will receive a UTR number in case you make payment in any other bank.
xxi) Once you are back, login to the application through same URL with your login name and password by clicking on link ‘Login Existing Member’. Enter your user name and password. You will reach your homepage. Click on ‘Application status’
xxii) You will see the current status of your application form.
xxiii) You can also go back and edit the form if required.
xxiv) Click on ‘Payment selection’ link
xxv) Go to Payment selection screen. Enter your payment details as received from the Bank.
a. In case of UCO Bank, enter
i. Transaction number provided by Bank
ii. Date of payment
iii. Branch name
b. In case of non-UCO Bank, enter
i. Name of the Bank
ii. UTR number provided by Bank
iv. Date of payment
xxvi) Enter the captcha image, you see on your screen in text box ‘Code’. This is a security step to ensure a secured transaction.
xxvii) Click on button ‘Get receipt’.
xxviii) You will get an acknowledgement screen for your payment and successful registration.
xxix) It will display message ‘Payment not confirmed by Board’. This message would go away once Board reconciles with Bank and confirms the receipt of your payment.
xxx) You can take a print out of this screen.
xxxi) You will get a permanent registration number once HPTSB confirms your payment with them.
xxxii) Congratulations!! You have successfully applied for admission to HPTSB Institutes.
xxxiii) You can login on the portal later to view the Application Status, or take print of Application Form / Acknowledgement.
Note: You can edit the form anytime till you have made the payment and filled the payment details. Once the payment details are entered, you would not be able to edit the details thereafter.
The last date for the filling online Application Form on Board’s Website from facilitation centers/others sources is 12.05.2015.
