Counselling Procedure :

For admission through merit based on overall CLAT/LSAT Ranking

Important Dates:
1. Counselling Begins: 17 June 2016
2. Counselling Ends: 24 June 2016

IMPORTANT :FOUR STEP PROCESS :
** Step-1. Register for Counselling Online and Pay Counselling Fee either via DD or Online.
** Step-2. Appear at the counselling venue on date and time specified for document verification and DD submission.
** Step-2. Announcement of Merit List based on overall all India rank in CLAT 2016 or LSAT 2016 (for all). Merit List will be announced
** Step-3. Confirmation of Admission by candidate and submission of fee.
** Step-4. Admission and commencement of classes on 5th September 2016.

GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS FOR COUNSELING:
Please carefully note the following before filling the application form / applying online:
** (i) Merely filing an application form does not entitle the candidate for the admission. The admission and counselling call is purely Merit based. No refund of counselling fee is entitled in case candidate is not called for admission for failing to qualify in the merit list.
** (ii) Document Verification and Counselling Fee submission is mandatory to be considered for merit list.

COUNSELLING PROCESS :
1. Document Verification & Document Submission
2. DD Submission / Online Fee Receipt Submission
3. Clicking Photograph of Candidate

PROGRAMS AND SEATS ON OFFER :
The number of seats for Academic Session 2016-17 is as given in the table below.

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA :
** A candidate should have passed Standard XII (10+2) or equivalent examination from any recognized Board with a minimum of 45% marks (40% for S.C./ S.T.). A candidate who has appeared for his/ her Standard XII (10+2) or equivalent examination can apply. However, his/ her admission will be subject to obtaining a minimum of 45% marks (40% for S.C./ S.T.). The last date for submission of mark/grade sheet will be on or before 30th September of prevailing academic year.

Note: It is the responsibility of the candidate to ascertain whether he/ she possesses the requisite qualification(s)/ eligibility for admission. Having been admitted provisionally does not mean acceptance of eligibility. Final eligibility of admission will be decided by the University, subject to successful fulfilment of specified admission norms.

** General Instructions on conditions of Eligibility

** If an applicant is found ineligible even at a later date after admission to the University, his/her admission will stand cancelled. All admissions will be subject to verification of facts from the original certificates/ documents of the candidates. The decision of the Admissions Committee of the University regarding the eligibility of any applicant shall be final.

** Eligibility for Merit – Candidates shall be considered for meriting process once they meet all of the following criteria:
** Who using the prescribed application form / apply online.
** Whose applications are found valid.
** The applications are received before the due date.
** Who fulfill the eligibility criteria.

** Drawing the Merit Lists :
** The merit amongst applications received for admission shall be drawn based only on the overall All India Rank in CLAT/LSAT examination.
** Score /Ranking in any category or state including general etc shall not be taken into account.
** The merit list for SC/ST candidates shall be made by applying the cut off 10% below the all-India rank (in CLAT/LSAT) obtained by the candidate short-listed in the general category.

** Schedule of Counseling: Time schedule for meriting and counseling shall be as given below:
** Counselling – 17th June to 24th June
** Merit Lists to be announced – Last Week of June
** Issue of Call letter through E mail – Last Week of June
** Registration and Commencement of classes – September 5th 2016

** Display of Merit up to 30 June 2016
** The position obtained by the candidate in the Merit lists given above shall be loaded on the websites for all candidates whose applications are found valid.
** It is responsibility of the candidate to check the website of the Institute to know about their counselling schedule, guidelines and instructions.
** Ignorance of counseling schedule shall not be accepted as an excuse to attend or claim for counseling at a later date, other than specified and scheduled.
** Invitation for counseling
** Invite for counseling shall be sent/ available through following ways.

** Details including dates and venues shall be uploaded on the website.
** A written communication in the form of an email. Thus, all candidates must mention their E Mails correctly.
** Candidates whose names appear on the merit lists displayed on the website, but who do not receive the written communication for counseling, must also appear for counseling on the date(s) notified.

** Counseling: Candidates shall be allowed to exercise choice of only one institute at the time of counseling which means that no inter-institutional transfers shall be allowed after allocation of seat.

** Allocation of Seats :Seats in the study programs shall be allotted on the basis of preferences indicated at the time of counseling, strictly in order of merit drawn based on overall All India Rank of CLAT/LSAT
