PU Management Entrance Test

Management Entrance Test – 2024 is conducted by Panjab University, Chandigarh For Admission to Sectoral MBA Programmes at UIAMS. UIAMS has been started at P.U. Campus to offer management Programmes in Sectoral areas and streams so as to fulfill industry needs and requirements for specialized managerial skills. The University will hold entrance test on April 28, 2024.

Important Dates of PU-MET

1. Date of Availability of Prospectus and online Application Form for PU-MET – 2024 on the website. January 22, 2024 (Monday)
2. Last date for submission of information on the website to generate the Login & Password April 03, 2024 (Wednesday)
3. Last date for deposit of fee through Online mode April 10, 2024 (Wednesday)
4. Last date for uploading of photograph, signature with rest of the information on the website after depositing fee April 16, 2024 (Tuesday)
6. Last date for receiving of copy of filled Application Form printout along with the requisite documents (if any) at UIAMS by registered post/speed post or by hand April 18, 2024 upto 4:00 p.m.
7. Final date by which Roll No. will be available online Roll No. and Centre of Examination will be generated and Roll No. slip required to be downloaded from the website by the candidate using their own Login and Password. There will be no physical communication for this purpose. April 23, 2024 (Tuesday)

Eligibility Conditions for PU-MET

A. MBA (Retail Management) :
MBA (Banking and Insurance Management) and
MBA (Capital Markets)
MBA (Infrastructural Management)
A Bachelor’s or Master Degree in any discipline of Panjab University or of any other university which has been recognized by the syndicate as equivalent thereto with not less than 50% * marks in the aggregate.

Provided that in case of candidates having Bachelor’s degree of the University through Modern Indian Languages [Hindi/Urdu/Punjabi (Gurumukhi Script)] and/or in a classical language (Sanskrit/ Persian/Arabic) or degree of any other university obtained in the same manner recognized by the Syndicate, 50% marks in the aggregate shall be calculated by taking into account full percentage of marks in all the papers in Language excluding the additional optional paper, English and the elective subject taken together.
OR
Pass in the final examination conducted by either (a) Institute of Chartered Accountants of India or England, or (b) Institute of Cost and Works Accountants of India or England or (c) Institute of Company Secretaries of India
OR
AMIE examination with 50% marks or more after having passed the diploma examination with 60% marks or above and have at least 5 years research/teaching or professional experience.

B. MBA (Information Technology & Telecommunications Management) and
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering/Technology, i.e. B.E./B. Tech. (in any Branch) of Panjab University or of any other University recognized by Panjab University as equivalent there to with at least 50%*marks in the aggregate.
OR
Bachelor’s degree in any Science subject with Physics and/or Mathematics of Panjab University or of any other University recognized by Panjab University as equivalent there to with at least 50%* marks in the aggregate.
OR
Bachelor’s in Computer Applications (BCA) of Panjab University or any of the other University recognized by the Panjab University as equivalent thereto with atleast 50% * marks in the aggregate.
OR
AMIE examination with 50% marks or more after having passed the diploma examination with 60% marks or above and have at least 5 years research/teaching or professional experience

C. MBA (Pharmaceutical Management)
Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy of Panjab University or of any other university recognized by Panjab University as equivalent there to with at least 50%* marks in aggregate.
OR
M.B.B.S of Panjab University or of any other university recognized by Panjab University as equivalent there to with at least 50% * marks in the aggregate.
OR
Bachelor’s Degree in any Science subject of Panjab University or of any other University recognized by Panjab University as equivalent there to with at least 50%* marks in the aggregate AND Diploma in Pharmacy of Panjab University or of any other University recognized by Panjab University as equivalent there to with at least 50% * marks in the aggregate.
OR
B.Sc (Medical)/B.Sc.(Biotechnology)/ B.Sc. (Biochemistry) of Panjab University or of any other University recognized by Panjab University as equivalent there to with at least 50%* marks in the aggregate.

D. MBA (Hospital Management)
MBBS/ BDS/ BAMS/ BHMS/ B. Pharmacy/ B.Sc (Nursing)/ Bachelor of Physiotherapy (BPT) of Panjab University or a degree of any other University which has been recognized by the syndicate as equivalent thereto with not less than 50%* marks in the aggregate.
OR
B.Sc (Medical)/B.Sc. (Biotechnology)/ B.Sc. (Biochemistry) /B.Voc. (Hospital Management) of Panjab University or of any other University recognized by Panjab University as equivalent there to with at least 50%* marks in the aggregate. Management Courses at UIAMS are for a duration of 2 years spread across 4 semesters.

How to Apply for PU-MET?

STEPS TO FOLLOW :
** Read Prospectus carefully.
** Register Online. [last date for registration: April 03, 2024 (Wednesday)].
** Note down your Login Id and Password (login details will be sent to your registered Email Id also).
** Login to your account to pay fee online. [last date for submission of fee: April 10, 2024 (Wednesday)].

** After successful payment, complete your form. Upload scanned passport size photograph, signature, fill other important information. Complete each section ( Profile, Categories, Academic Qualification) carefully and lock each section. (Once you lock the section, you will not be allowed to change information in that section). [last date for completion of form: April 16, 2024 (Tuesday)]

** Take printout of the application form and submit it along with the required documents (if any) to the address mentioned on the printout of the application form. [last date for submission of hard copy of application form & documents : April 18, 2024 upto 4:00 p.m. ].

** Download your Admit Card after April 23, 2024 (Tuesday). (Bring one photo identity proof like Driving License, Voter Card, Aadhaar Card, Passport etc. at the Examination centre failing which the candidate will not be allowed to enter in the Examination Hall.)

NOTE :
** In no case the fee, once paid, shall be refunded.

** Candidates are required to submit the copy of printout of their filled Application form along with the requisite documents (if any) to Assistant Registrar, UIAMS, South Campus, Sector – 25, Panjab University, Chandigarh-160014 by registered post/speed post or by hand on or before April 18, 2024 upto 4:00 p.m.

** Mere login id creation OR deposit of fee does not mean that candidate has completed his/her online application form. Incomplete form leads to cancellation of candidature. Any request for completion of form after due date will not be entertained at all.

** After the conduct of entrance test, the candidates should visit Noticeboard on the UIAMS website for GD/PI schedule and other information.
