POLYTECHNIC ADMISSION TEST(PAT) 2015 :
The Polytechnics provide facilities for study in Diploma and Certificate Courses in Engineering and Technology after H.S.L.C. (10+). The main objective of the Polytechnic courses of studies is to produce technicians at supervisory level to meet the demand of technical manpower in various field of development. This brochure aims at bringing out guidelines towards Technical Education to enable the young boys and girls to build their career by getting themselves admitted into various courses of Technical Studies available at the State Polytechnics of Assam.

ELIGIBILITY FOR ADMISSION :
To be eligible for admission into Diploma courses, a candidate must fulfill the following conditions :-
1. Must appear and qualify in the Polytechnic Admission Test (PAT) for admission into Diploma Courses’ offered by State Council for Technical Education, Assam for the concerned academic session as notified by the DTE, Assam.
2. For admission into Diploma Courses the candidate must pass the H.S.L.C. or its equivalent examination with Mathematics and Science as compulsory subject with
40% marks (in Average) in Mathematics and Science for General candidates
35% marks (in Average) in Mathematics and Science for SC candidates.
33% marks (in Average) in Mathematics and Science for ST Candidates.

Important Dates:
Online application : 09-03-2015 to 04-04-2015
Last date of receipt of Printout of Application Form along with DTE Copy of Bank Challan : 10-04-2015
Issue of Online Admit Card : 01-05-2015
Date of Examination (All Diploma Courses except MoM) : 10-05-2015
Date of Examination (Modern Office Management) : 24-05-2015

How to apply :
(For eligibility criterion and other conditions, kindly read the online Information Brochure provided very carefully)
Before applying online, keep the following points in mind:
Applicants are required to apply only through Online mode, no other means/mode of submission of application form will be accepted.
The link to fill up online application form will remain active up to midnight of 04/04/2015. Applicants are advised to fill up the online application form well in advance, without waiting for the last date, to avoid the last minute hassle.
Please keep your ‘scanned photograph’ and ‘scanned signature’ ready with you in the following format :
Your recent scanned photograph only in .jpg format (file size should not exceed 100 KB)
Your scanned signature only in .jpg format. (file size should not exceed 100 KB)

Registration Process :
Step 1 – If you want to apply for Polytechnic Courses, select option –
“Apply for Diploma Courses”
(Except Modern Office Management)
If you want to apply for Modern Office Management course of Girl’s Polytechnic, select option –
“Apply for Diploma Course of Modern Office Management”
After clicking on any one of the options the Application Form for Polytechnic Admission Test – 2015 will appear

Step 2 – Before filling up the Application Form, read all the eligibility criteria given in the Information Brochure (downloadable) given. Don’t leave any blank entry if it is mandatory to fill. Fill the Application form properly, upload the photograph & signature and save the Application form by clicking the ‘Submit’ button. You have the liberty to modify the information in the Application form till submission of Payment details.

Step 3 – Once the Application form is saved, a ‘Application Number’ will be generated. Note down the number and keep it securely for future use. Now, click on “Next” to continue, you’ll be taken to the Applicant Login Area.

Step 4 – Now, take a print-out of ‘Bank Challan’ by clicking ‘Print Bank Challan’ link. The Challan has 3 parts. Part I is the DTE copy, Part II is the Applicant’s copy and Part III is the Bank’s copy.

You may close the window now and proceed for depositing the “Application Fee” at any Branch of “State Bank of India (SBI)”.

Step 5 –Deposit Rs. 400/- along with the generated Challan in any Branch of SBI.

Step 6 – After depositing, you will receive both the DTE copy and the Applicant’s copy of the Bank Challan from the Bank. After making payment at Bank, proceed to the next step for entering the details of payment at the website.

Step 7 – Log on to www.dteassam.in and click on Online Application for PAT 2015. In the next page, click on “Applicant Login” situated in the top Menu bar, an Applicant Login Screen will appear. Sign in your account using your ‘Application Number’ & your ‘Date of Birth’.

You’ll be taken to the Applicant Login Page.

Step 8 – Click on the option ‘Enter Fee Payment Details’

Step 9 – Enter (a) Bank Journal No. (b) Name of Branch of Bank, (c) Deposit Date, and press ‘Submit Payment Info’ button to continue.

Step 10 – Next, Click on ‘Print of Application form’ from the Applicant Login Page. Take two (2) copies of print-out of your Application form, one for your reference and the other for submission to DTE Office. Put your LTI (Left Thumb Impression) in the given space provided in the Printed Application Form

Step 11 – Submit the Application form (along with the DTE copy of Bank Challan) through Speed post to the following address:
