NOTIFICATION FOR ENTRANCE TEST FOR ADMISSION INTO 9th CLASS AT CENTRE OF EXCELLENCE (KARIMNAGAR) WITH ENGLISH MEDIUM OF INSTRUCTIONS FOR THE ACADEMIC YEAR 2016-17

Applications are invited from Boys and Girls for Admission into 9th class at Centre of Excellence, Karimnagar, Karimnagar District functioning under the control of TSWREI Society, to provide special coaching to the meritorious Scheduled Caste students for the academic year 2016-17. The objective of this centre of Excellence is to prepare children to compete in institutions of Technology, Medicine, Law, Chartered Accountancy at State Level and at All India Level. The medium of instruction in this institution will be English.

The applications will be received through online from 27.02.2016 and will be closed on 27.03.2016 and the date of Entrance Examination is 17.04.2016.

Eligibility for Admission :
** The students should have Passed 8th standard from any recognized school, either in Telugu Medium or English Medium.
** The students who have secured C1 overall grade and above (Equal to 50% ) in 8th class in SA-I examination 2015 (Held in the month of October-2015) are only eligible to apply for the COE entrance test.
** The age of the students should be below14 years as on 31.08.2016.
** The students should produce caste and income certificates, certified by the M.R.O.
** The parental income should be Rs.65,000/- in Rural areas and Rs.75,000/- in Urban areas per Annum.

Proposal for date of admission and other details :
** The test will be conducted on 17.04.2016 from 11:00 AM to 01:30 PM for maximum marks of 140.

** Admission test will be in the subjects Mathematics, Science, English, with syllabus of 8th class including Current Affairs and Aptitude. The question paper will be in 4 parts and marks are as follows :
Part – A Maths – 30 Marks
Part – B Science 40 marks (PS – 20 Marks & BS – 20 Marks)
Part – C English 30 Marks
Part – D Current Affairs 40 Marks & Aptitude

** The questions will be of objective type and will be in both Telugu and English Medium.
** Test will be conducted in each district at the centres mentioned above.
** The applicants have to submit the application online available in the society website tswreis.telangana.gov.in
** Minimum qualifying marks in the Entrance Test will be 40% for Maths, 40% for Science, 40% for English and 25% for Current affairs & Aptitude.
